Looking back to last year, I never imagined that I would be given this amazing opportunity once again. Being chosen again feels like a blessing and a reward for all the hard work, sacrifices, and dedication I have put into this sport.

Each Game taught us something important about teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and trust. Winning showed us the rewards of our hard work and unity, while losing reminded us that setbacks are part of growth and improvement.

To all the Filipinos who supported us throughout the journey, as well as to my coaches, family and loved ones. Your cheers, prayers, and encouragement gave us strength and motivation to keep going, especially during tough moments in the tournament. To my teammates, what we’ve achieved together means more than any trophy—it’s the lessons, memories, and experiences that will stay with us forever.

Lord, I believe that without your guidance and protection, none of this would have been possible. Thank you for your presence to keep our faith strong and our hearts grateful.

“It’s not about losing or winning. It’s about not giving up.”

Last season (Silver) was heartbreaking for us. Losing a game hurts, especially if you’ve put time, effort, and hope into it. But we’ve realized that each loss is a learning opportunity. Every loss tests our patience, resilience, and ability to adapt. Instead of focusing on our defeat, we reflect on what could be improved, and how we can move forward.

“Hindi ko yata kaya. Nakakapressure.” I was appointed as the new captain.

Being a captain means making sacrifices. Leading is not enough. You have to be there for your team every step of the way. Despite this challenge, this position is also incredibly rewarding. It gave me the chance to grow–not just as a player, but as a person. It taught me empathy and the value of teamwork.

To our coaches, Coach Karl, Coach Jai, Coach Kim, Coach Marco, Coach Manny, Coach Bong, Coach Paris, Coach Gelo, Sir bing, and Ma’am Marissa, I am grateful for each one of you. Your trust boosted me up and pushed me to continue striving for higher goals, knowing that I am doing it not only for myself but also for you. I am also grateful to my teammates for the friendships and memories we have created. Thank you for being a great part of this journey and for making this experience I will remember forever.

To my family, Dade, Mame, Ate, Kyle, loved ones, garapata nation, NU community, photographers, and Room K, from the very beginning, you have been my foundation—always there, offering encouragement whenever I needed it the most and providing comfort during times of struggle. The sacrifices you’ve made, the endless hours spent supporting me, and the way you believed in me even when I doubted myself made who I am today. Your love and support have been the greatest gift I could ever ask for.

Lord God, I acknowledge that this win is not my own but a testament of Your strength and guidance. Without You, I know that no victory would be possible, and I humbly recognize that every success is a reflection of Your will and grace.

REDEMPTION COMPLETE!! 💙💛

Proving hard work pays off…

Remembering my journey, I am just a dreamer back then. Wanting to play in a prestigious university… To be one of its good players… And here I am today! Not just representing the National University, but the whole country🇵🇭

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for this big opportunity. This one of a kind experience showed me what I can do more and the person I am in and out the court; a leader who can be an inspiration for others. That no matter how hard the situation is, we just have to believe that we can overcome it..

These things wouldn’t be possible without those important people. To Akari, thank you for your unwavering support all throughout the tournament. You’re one of the reasons for being able to represent the Philippines. Thank you to our Tita Gina, Tito Jojo, and our photographers from Akari.

To our coaches, Coach Taka, Coach V., Coach Karl, Coach Migs, Tita Mozzy, Sir Bing, and my coaches at NU, thank you for pushing me to be the best person I could be. It amazes me how you could handle work and coaching at the same time. There’s no way it could have been easy, but you always know how to take care of everything and us. To my girlies, thank you for fighting and showcasing your skills with me. I am really happy to witness how great you are.

To my source of strength, Dade, Mame, Ate, Mamay, Papa Yeng, Kyle, Room K and my loved ones, distance never stopped you to show your love and support. Thank you for always believing in me. When life hits me hard, you’re there to protect me. I appreciate all your sacrifices. Hope your little RR/Lot made you all proud! 🩷

Deepest gratitude to our Almighty God. The guidance, knowledge, and peace of mind You provided made everything possible. 🙏

This is not the end, just a beginning. See you when I see you again.😉
