I’m still not entirely sure what possessed me to move my life to Paris, enrol in full time French study, juggle 3 jobs and attempt a social life in a new city. Some days we’re laughing and some we’re crying on the walk home from school - but here we are! My observations from my first 6 weeks in Paris; learning French is about ten times harder than I thought it would be, everyone has been incredibly kind, helpful and understanding, it’s totally acceptable to just bite straight into a baguette on the street, getting up well before the sun rises everyday (the sun rising at 8:30 is wild) requires more caffeine than usual, I am low key enjoying living through a winter for the first time in my life, I miss indo food, people are always out socialising even on the cold wet days, you may end up in tiny apartment dance parties with random people on random nights, making friends as an adult in a new country is fun, I have never eaten so much bread in my life, there is always something to do, your skin does not absorb moisture in winter and I absolutely adore my neighbourhood… the list goes on. by @louisemillroy
