Hi Friends, I thought I’d reintroduce myself and share what I’ve been up to these past few years…

Basically, I went from working 60 hrs a week living in NYC to experiencing burnout and a spiritual crisis that led me to living in the jungles and beaches, volunteering, healing and finally doing the work I was born to do.

After 5 years of traveling around Latin America and doing deep inner work including daily yoga, silent meditation retreats, hypnotherapy, quitting alcohol, breath work, plant medicine, somatic trauma healing and coaching, I’ve created LUMINA. I’m taking all that I’ve learned to help people move through challenges and illuminate their highest potential.

I look forward to connecting and growing a beautiful community of love and light. Namaste 💜✨ by @love.light.dee

These past few weeks in Thailand have been beautiful, exciting and heart opening.

Thailand has been a magical journey of connections and coincidences.

Finding out that 5 friends that I’ve met along my travels were also here and getting to spend time with each of them was a delightful surprise. Briefly meeting someone new and seeing a beautiful glimpse of years of inner work and faithful prayers, reflected back to me with tenderness, adoration, playfulness, respect, and care has inspired and encouraged me to keep going.

All while traveling through bustling cities and markets, peaceful temples, calm beaches and grounding forests. Interacting with kind locals and learning about Thai culture. Thailand has been deeply nourishing to my nervous system and has eased the loneliness of solo travel. Feeling more and more grateful for my life and the people who shape it.

Highlighting one of my unexpected and favorite destinations from last year…Antalya, Türkiye! Not only are the cities, villages and nature beautiful…the people are amazing too! If you get the chance to travel this summer, consider adding this magical region to your bucket list. #türkiye #travels #summer by @love.light.dee

One of the most important foundations for personal growth is inner safety.

If your mind or body senses danger — whether it’s leaving a job, making a big change, traveling abroad, or starting a business — it will hit the brakes.

And let’s be honest: life throws a lot at us that can chip away at our sense of safety.

I’m not a trauma expert, but I am trauma-informed, and what I often see in clients who feel stuck or unable to move toward what they deeply want is this: They are not lazy or unmotivated.

They’re in freeze mode. Overwhelmed. Shut down. Their system is trying to protect them.

What’s helped me the most is consistently reminding myself:
✨ I am safe.
✨ My inner child is safe.
✨ Things are working out for me.

I even write down the moments when life has worked out — to give my brain the evidence it craves.

Supportive self-talk, hand-on-heart moments, mirror work, giving myself a hug, practicing appreciation, regulating my nervous system with nature, qi gong, meditation…

These are the rituals that bring me back home to myself.

And when I’m scared to take a certain step, I visualize the action, imagine myself feeling safe and grounded while doing it, and receiving the best possible outcome.

These small, consistent practices have taught my system that I can feel safe — even when stepping into something new or unfamiliar.

If you’d like resources or support around building inner safety so you can move toward your big dreams, my DMs are open. 💛

Love,

Dee

Rebuilding self-trust has been one of my biggest learning lessons. I work with a lot of clients on self-trust as well. There are many situations and coping patterns that lead to losing your ability to trust yourself. But with compassion, consistency and understanding, your faith in yourself can be restored 💜. by @love.light.dee

I was happily surprised by this beautiful ancient bustling city of 15 million people that spans two continents. The kindness and hospitality of the Turkish people is heartwarming. I immediately felt as if I’d been here before, probably in a past life. Have you ever traveled to a new place and felt deja vu? #istanbul #türkiye #slowtravelling by @love.light.dee

Part 2: Four more signs of a wounded inner child that show up in adulthood: fear of rejection/fear of being seen, low self-esteem & low self-worth, depression, anxiety, emotional burnout, and unhelpful self-soothing (aka self-sabotaging) patterns.

These are not flaws. They are protective strategies and coping behaviors that are keeping you stuck.

These patterns can be healed and transformed.

Inside Inner Child Brilliance, we use hypnosis to:

✨ Build unshakable confidence and take bold, aligned action without spiraling in fear
✨ Strengthen your intuition and nervous system so success actually feels safe in your body
✨ Discover the version of you who feels worthy, confident, and magnetic

Until you acknowledge the little girl or boy inside who doesn’t feel safe taking action…

Your adult self will keep procrastinating on what he/she wants most.

Procrastination isn't a sign that you’re lazy. It's a sign that your inner child is scared of failing, of being criticized or rejected, and would rather hide than risk showing up.

It’s not that you don’t want success, it’s that a part of you is terrified of what might happen if you actually go for it.

This protective mechanism feels like safety… but in reality, it’s what keeping you stuck. But the truth is, the very thing you crave most is sitting on the other side of simply taking action. You already know this.

You’ve saved post after post about fear, procrastination, and taking action.

But awareness isn’t the same as transformation. Until you actually lead yourself, take responsibility, and do the deeper healing, nothing shifts.

If you’re ready to heal this at the root, you can start right now.

“What are your hobbies?” Adventuring! Ever since I read Island of the Blue Dolphins as a kid, I dreamed of having far away adventures. It’s also in my astrology birth chart to travel and explore the world. Yes it may seem like I’m on a permanent vacation to some people but I’m just following my life’s plan 😅 Who else loves adventuring? by @love.light.dee
