As I reflect on my first season as Music Director of The Orchestra San Antonio @theorchestrasa , I feel incredibly grateful for what we have built together. My calling is about serving an audience. It is about making classical music available to people and finding meaningful entry points for audiences to connect with it. It is about bringing musicians together to create concerts that are unforgettable. Not because of any one individual, but because of what can happen when a group of people comes together around a shared purpose. It is also about inspiring students to dream. Music opened doors in my own life that I never imagined were possible, and I believe young people need to see what can happen through dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. I often think that an orchestra is one of the best examples of how a society should work. Everyone has a voice. Everyone has a role. We listen, we collaborate, we support one another, and we work toward something bigger than ourselves. Great music-making is never a solo effort—it is the result of a team working together with trust, respect, and a common vision. Today, being a music director is about much more than the artistic. It is about being a cultural ambassador, a community representative, a leader, and an advocate for an art form that I believe is essential. I am passionate about helping ensure that classical music and orchestras remain a vibrant part of our communities and a priority in our cultural life. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this first season. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and even more excited for what comes next. by @lpineda23

Sharing the stage with the future! Last June, The Orchestra San Antonio welcomed emerging violinist Jayden King to the stage for a concert celebrating young virtuosity. Jayden performed side-by-side violinist Francisco Fullana under the baton of Music Director Leonard Pineda, bringing his artistry to our stage as part of an evening celebrating the next generation of musicians. This week, we’re excited to celebrate Jayden once again as he receives three awards at the George Enescu International Competition: First Prize, the Audience Prize, and Best Performance of the Commissioned Work, "Still Life with Fallen Stone" by Lembit Beecher. Join us in celebrating Jayden and this incredible achievement! by @lpineda23
To begin a jazzy weekend filled with music, connection, and community, The Orchestra San Antonio launched its Youth Concert Series—a free concert experience open to students across Bexar County. Through our partnership with the Tobin Center’s Generation NEXT Education Initiative, we welcomed an enthusiastic audience of students, teachers, and families for this inaugural performance. A special thank you to trumpet virtuoso Pacho Flores @pachofloresofficial and composer Daniel Freiberg @daniel_freiberg_new_york, whose artistry, improvisation, and engaging presence left a lasting impression on all who attended. Here are some of the highlights of our American Harmony edition. We can't wait to see more students, teachers, and families at our next one in our 26/27 season! 🎶 by @lpineda23
When the violins stop playing and start reacting 😄🎺 #Bernstein #Violin #Orchestra #Insta360 #LiveMusic @theorchestrasa @insta360 by @lpineda23
Beethoven keeps tightening the tension one layer at a time. 🎻 Winds with the theme, strings answering back, and second violins keeping the pizzicato underneath. @theorchestrasa @insta360 #Beethoven #Violin #Orchestra #Pizzicato #Insta360 by @lpineda23
Beethoven starts a little fugue… then keeps stacking the pressure. 🎻 One entrance after another, building toward a huge orchestral unison. #Beethoven #Violin #Orchestra #Fugue #Insta360 @theorchestrasa by @lpineda23
