The Doll Parts trade paperback hits comic shops and bookstores on July 16! It turned out gorgeous, and I love how it contrasts with Lovesick 😭💖 #luanavecchio #imagecomics #dollpartsalovesicktale #lovesickcomic by @luanavecchio_
Working on the connecting cover for my new miniseries 🖤 by @luanavecchio_
Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by my table and for all the kind words about my work! 💖 It’s always amazing to be at NYCC and connect with fellow creators and readers. I met so many wonderful people and I really hope to be back next year! A HUGE thank you to @kineticcollectibles for taking care of my table and to @sickleandhood for being absolutely amazing at what she does! And thank you all for the lovely gifts!😭🫶 by @luanavecchio_
I’m off to the airport, but if you’re still around, you can find these two at my table C08, along with books, merch, and original art! The @kineticcollectibles team will be there to take care of you! ❤️ by @luanavecchio_
Finally, I can show you my full connecting cover for @skyboundent ’s Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives! 🖤 I absolutely loved working on this piece. I put so much time and love into it, and getting the chance to illustrate the Bride across these covers was such a special experience for me. I’m incredibly proud of how it all came together. Issue #1 hits comic shops at the end of October, written by the incredible @1979semifinalist , with stunning art and colors by @mattart91. They’ve done an absolutely masterful job with this story, and I’m so happy I got to be a small part of it. Huge thanks to editor Alex Antone for having me on this project! I can’t wait for you to read it. 🖤 by @luanavecchio_
Cover A of the new miniseries is done ✅ (When it’s announced, I’ll show it in full, but that day is still far away for now) Like I mentioned on other social media, this is going to be a coming-of-age story that, unlike Doll Parts, focuses on the male experience. I’m genuinely excited to work on something like this. I’m not planning to take it easy on the two main characters, just as I didn’t with Maddie. by @luanavecchio_
Too busy working on the new miniseries to even mention that Doll Parts is back with a second printing! This book wrecks me every time I open it to literally any page, but I’m incredibly proud of it. 🖤 And a huge thank you to everyone brave enough to recommend it to their friends and customers, you’re the best. by @luanavecchio_
My two babies 💙 I can’t tell you anything about the new project until the publisher’s official press release comes out, probably sometime next year. I’ll try to post as little as possible because I don’t want to spoil anything! In the meantime, see you at NYCC in just a few weeks!!!! I can’t wait! I’ll post my days and schedule soon 💙 One last thing: I’m incredibly grateful for all the cover requests I keep receiving! Aside from the publishers I already work with regularly, I won’t be able to take on any new cover work until my miniseries is finished, probably around May or June 2027. The amount of work behind this book is huge and exhausting. Maybe I’m getting old, but I need time, and at this point in my career I’d rather focus on quality over quantity… or maybe I’m just slow 🫠 by @luanavecchio_
@luanavecchio_ , who will be staying in Herceg Novi from September 4th to 9th, has sent her posters created for her favourite festival dedicated to the ninth art. She is also a talented comic book artist. See you at HERCEGNOVSKI STRIP FESTIVAL . . #hsf #hercegnovskistripfestival by @luanavecchio_
From my new miniseries, which has been approved and scheduled ✨ by @luanavecchio_
I sent the pitch today. Fingers crossed! by @luanavecchio_
“Why should anyone weep for you, if even you… Won’t weep for yourself?!” Finally, after my very long trip back from Richmond (around 30 hours of travel, lol), I’m taking a moment to thank you all for the incredible feedback on the entire Doll Parts miniseries. I didn’t have high expectations—creating a prequel to a niche comic like Lovesick felt like a challenge doomed to fail, but luckily, I was wrong. Thank you so much for sticking with me through this miniseries, and welcome to all the new readers! if you have questions or curiosities, feel free to ask in the comments—I’ll reply there. I hope to see you again in my next miniseries! by @luanavecchio_
