We talk about hydration goals. We don’t talk about where women are supposed to pee safely, try finding a clean toilet first 😒

I started designing on #Canva and wondered if I’d ever be good at it. A few days ago, I helped judge a hackathon built around it.

Nigeria’s first #CanvaAfricaHackathon brought out teams who gave it their all, and three stood out against the judging criteria. Full-circle moment, for sure.

One thing that stood out for me while reading the study; Impact Beyond Borders by @adedoyinjaiyesimi is how clearly the findings connect individual career challenges to broader structural gaps. And reminded me of my struggles finding resources and trainings as I journeyed in my communication career.

It’s a timely read for anyone interested in the future of communications and public relations.

Impact Beyond Borders is a new study by Adedoyin Jaiyesimi (Co-Founder, The Comms Avenue), sponsored by the 2025 @cipr_global Research Fund, breaks down exactly why young African communicators are locked out of global training and certification, and what needs to change.

The virtual launch of Impact Beyond Borders, the CIPR-sponsored research by Adedoyin Jaiyesimi, will be happening on the 12th of August, and I believe you should be there.

@adedoyinjaiyesimi will be joined by industry professionals to unpack the report’s findings and discuss what it will actually take to build a more inclusive global PR industry.

If you are a young professional trying to find your footing in this industry, a senior leader shaping the next generation, or an institution invested in the future of communications in Africa, this conversation is for you.
