It has been 7 months… Seven months that have transformed my life and taught me my true place and purpose. During this time, I came to understand that nothing in this world can fill the heart the way closeness to Allah does. This is my place. This is my purpose. And I never want to drift away from it again. Near You, Allah, I found my true identity, the peace I had been searching for, and the strength to keep going even on the hardest days. When I draw closer to You, my heart finds rest; when I put my trust in You, my burdens become lighter. Today, I understand that every journey, every pain, and every moment of waiting had a purpose: to bring me closer to You. Alhamdulillah for every step that led me here. May Allah keep my heart firm in faith, increase my gratitude, and never allow me to stray from the path that leads me to Him. 🤍☪️ La ilaha illa Allah ☝🏾 Allahumma thabbit qalbi ’ala dinik 🤲🏾 by @lucas.almeida00
Today, the 1st, is not just the beginning of a new year for me. It is also the anniversary of my conversion to Islam. For the first time since I converted, I spent New Year’s Eve alone at home, praying. And this may seem simple to some… but to me, it means everything. For 10 years, I always celebrated New Year’s Eve drinking and partying in places that only pushed me further away from myself and from the presence of Allah. And during those 10 years, after the new year began, the false happiness would fade, and the emptiness would return. Today, I chose differently. At the same time that I complete my third month as a Muslim, I chose the silence that brings closeness, the prayer that brings calm, and the surrender that teaches trust. On New Year’s Eve, I knelt in prayer and placed my heart, my plans, and my fears in the hands of Allah. I felt peace, hope, and the certainty that a new path can begin today. May this year be different. May my steps be guided, my heart be healed, and may my life find lightness, purpose, and meaning. 🤲🏾🤲🏾 #fy #foryou #muslim by @lucas.almeida00
