Oh no… not another running post. Yes, another running post. What can I say, it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to travel across the world with your friends and meet new people who share the same passion and love for this sport. The running community is worldwide and you can always meet someone to share some miles with. A big shoutout to all the run clubs that organized all the events throughout the week - truly IMMACULATE vibes. Korea was seriously such an amazing place - the way people live, the hospitality, the energy ,the food, the culture, it’s an incredible place and I would definitely come back again. I never imagined my life to be life like this… I worked my ASS off to be where I’m at, and I owe a debt of gratitude to my parents who paved the path forward… and I will do the same for future generations. To explore the world, to learn more about cultures, perspectives, and the way people live - it’s truly a blessing and a privilege. My parents never got the chance to travel - they were too busy working to put food on the table and provide… I do this for them. 고맙습니다 한국 🇰🇷 by @luis_rojas74
Do hard things with great people. I have so much to say about this training cycle, but just so proud of our squad and myself for absolutely crushing our goals. A consistent 6 month training cycle with ups and downs, with every race being cancelled and me being absolutely over it. From coming off an injury and regressing in my progress, to coming back, setting a goal, training for it, and achieving it. What better way to celebrate your birthday than achieving a 34 min PR and seeing all your hard work pay off. Big shout out to my @koreatownrunclub fam - you’ve made such an impact in my life and I’m blessed to find such a great community and friends. Maybe I’ll train for a BQ one of these days, but for now imma rest and come back stronger. Still new to this running thing, but I’m loving every step of the way and all the friends I’ve made Much Love ❤️ by @luis_rojas74
Medio maratón de CDMX…. Wow what an experience. It’s been 1 year since I started running and this race was very special to my heart. Being able to come back to the motherland and be surrounded with so much support and energy; there’s nothing like it. Community and family is very important in our culture and being able to race with the KRC familia was truly amazing. I have so much appreciation and respect for the level of commitment it takes to organize events such as these and the community we have in LA is so strong and present; it’s truly special. I’m extremely proud of my roots 🇲🇽 and I hope to bring encouragement, positivity, and help pay it forward to those around me. by @luis_rojas74
Finally able to cross Half Dome off the bucket list. After 4 years of going to Yosemite, I was lucky to secure permits to make the trek up this beautiful landmark. What an experience and what a life by @luis_rojas74
9 months ago, I started my running journey and can now call myself a marathoner. It all started with coming back from a long trip being inspired to do something that was challenging and uncomfortable. Little did I know, that decision was one of the best decisions I could’ve made for myself. I started off with running 3-5 miles per week, feeling absolutely gassed and crazy for wanting to do this. I thought to myself “people do this for fun, wtf”? But week after week, I kept showing up and the mileage kept increasing and I kept improving - I was absolutely hooked. From starting off with a 5k, 10k, half marathon, and then marathon - it was incredible to see my body constantly adapt and get better. I felt better, got stronger, had more energy, gained more confidence, was happier, felt more connected to earth and my surroundings, but most of all, I found a community. I want to say that 80% of my training has been done alone, but after attending one @koreatownrunclub meet - I started finding people to run with and my tribe. With the limited time I had, I would attend the meets once in a while, but was so stunned by the positive and good vibes that everyone brought that I felt somewhat already at home. I was looking for a new place at the time, to move closer to my new job, but the community at KRC had made an impact on me, which ultimately made me move to Koreatown in LA and it has been incredible thus far. The people you surround yourself with has such an impactful influence on your life, and I’m glad to have met so many unique, caring, hilarious, and motivating people in the running community. Shout out to my “that table” squad for keeping it real and showing up everyday and being so inclusive and supportive of everything, and to the rest of the people at KRC - you all rock! I love LA, LA is my home and am glad to be able to run my city and do it with some amazing people. We are really born to run and this is not the end, but only the beginning - so ready for what’s next 💪🏽 LA Marathon debut: 3:52:08 🏅 by @luis_rojas74
1/2 marathon in the books last week. I have never ran more than 2 miles, but having met some incredible people this year, I’ve been inspired to do things I’ve never done before. It’s amazing what your body can achieve when you put it to the test and believe in yourself. Picking up running has been such an incredible experience and I’ve met some amazing people of different ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, and fitness levels. LA marathon… I’m coming for you next 💪🏽 by @luis_rojas74
Throwback to traveling 🇳🇱🇩🇪🇬🇧with some of my best mates. Looking back, I’ve realized how fortunate I’ve been able to explore different parts of the world. Appreciate those that have taught me a thing or two. Can’t wait to get back out there again by @luis_rojas74

Often times, it’s the journey and not the destination. 4 days of hiking on the Inca trail in the remote Andes to Machu Picchu. Appreciate this cool experience and the people I’ve met along the way 🤘🏽🇵🇪 by @luis_rojas74
