Happy National Son’s Day to our pride & joy! Our sun, moon, and stars… our biggest blessing. Roman keeps us on our toes, keeps us smiling, keeps us awake, keeps us laughing, keeps us looking at each other in disbelief that he is here with us. He’s such a strong, kind, loving, talented, intelligent, caring, hilarious little man and we couldn’t imagine life without him. Roman James, you’re so loved 🩵

Last Monday, Ivy had surgery. Her appendix was perforated at some point, created an abscess in her abdomen, her appendix healed but left a tennis ball sized infected abscess there. She had the abscess drained and her appendix removed. She had every kind of medical imaging done you could imagine, so many lab draws, procedures, and vital checks & she did amazing through all of them! The nurses always commented on what a great patient she was and how that is not their typical experience with 2 year olds! She would cry or yell but always listened to what they asked her to do 🥹 There were so many unknowns; each day felt like there was a new result from a new test that brought new problem BUT GOD knew who we needed, where we needed to be, and gave the doctors & surgeons such wisdom. Anyone who knows me knows that I tend to be a very anxious person BUT GOD blessed us with the most beautiful community & network of prayer warriors because I felt peace through our almost week-long hospital stay. Luke did an amazing job of holding down the house & making sure our sweet boy Roman didn’t worry too much about his Sissy! Thank you to all of the people who reached out, brought food, sent coffee, dropped off gifts, picked up Roman, came to the hospital to visit, let me get a good shower in, and most importantly prayed for our strong, brave, beautiful girl & our family! Thank you! She has been recovering well & has a hard time taking it easy 🤭 God is so good y’all!! Thank you Jesus for always being faithful & protecting us. by @lukee_3rk

Never too late to appreciate my wife!!Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful wife. Watching you love, guide, and care for our little family is one of the greatest blessings in my life. Our kids are lucky to have a mom like you, and I’m lucky to walk through life with you. Thank you for everything you do every single day. We love you more than words can say. by @lukee_3rk

Our Roman James is FIVE years old today!!
I cannot even believe that our special boy is already 5… I promise we just brought him home from the hospital 🥹 I try to make sure and tell him every day what a blessing he is to not only Luke & I but everyone around us. He is passionate, wild, loving, loyal, and creative; literally everything we ever prayed for. Happy 5th Birthday Romie Ro, Romie my Homie, Bubba Doo, Bubby, Homano Gemis… WE LOVE YOU!!! by @lukee_3rk

📚🍎 VPK here he comes ✏️📓

Roman had his first day of school! He said he loves playing music, playing with friends and eating and that he wants to be a super hero when he grows up. He said he was feeling a little nervous but & he did SO good! The only thing we weren’t prepared for was a hallway drop off so that explains his sad face. But he took the teachers hand and went in without looking back 🥹 He said he loved playing on the playground & riding bikes, coloring with his new friends (that he doesn’t remember any of their names), and circle time! He lovedddd his crown that he made and proudly told us he are the healthy part of his snack instead of the Funyuns 🤭 We went out for a nice pizza lunch with Vovo & Bisa after to celebrate his amazing 1st day. Both our babies knocked out on the way home. Ahhh there are NO words to describe how proud we are of our sweet boy! I can’t believe we’ve entered our school era 😭

A year of growth with both our babies 🥹🥰

We may have missed a couple months but it’s wild to see it all put together… it’s never lost on me how much we prayed for these miracles to be here with us.

Excuse me, how did this happen?! A WHOLE YEAR OF IVY MARIE JOY!!! We’ve spent an entire year with our sweet & sassy princess. Getting to know her and watch her grow is such a blessing 🥹
Her smile lights up every room and her bright eyes spark a conversation every where we go. She loves music, dancing, chasing her brother, Ms. Rachel, riding on the scooter, any book about animals, and any body of water! She’s got 4 (almost 5) teeth on top and those 2 rabbit teeth on the bottom. She took her first steps this time last week and as of today tries to take off running (she’s not quite ready for that amount of balance!) She is 22.7 lbs and 28.5in tall. If you ask her a yes or no question she will answer you and mean what she said 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↕️ She blows kisses while listening to worship music & it melts my heart; it’s her own way of showing love to the Lord. God, we are forever grateful for the blessing of her life, our sweet sissy girl! Happy 1st Birthday, Ivy! You are so loved!

Baby girl! How are you almost ONE?! It does not seem possible. You are finding your independence & hardly ever want anyone to help you. You are communicating with us in such a fun new way (signing & new vocal words). You love your brother the most still but you’re starting to get a little feisty with him if he’s in your space (good for you girlie). You are braving the world of standing and trying to take steps. You have such a sensitive spirit & it seems like you sympathize with people around you already. You have a laugh that turns heads and a toothy smile that makes others smile back. Every time you give me a hug or kiss my heart melts a little and I can’t believe you’re my girl, a dream come true! Your life is such a blessing, Ivy Marie Joy!
