We don’t have a commercial institution or a patron backing us, which is why we’re incredibly grateful to all our partners whose support has made it possible for us to organise LUSTR for the 13th year in a row. 🙏🏻 You’ll find the full list below and on the following slides. T H A N K Y O U! 💚 The festival is held with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the City of Prague, the State Culture Fund of the Czech Republic, Prague 7 Municipal District, Czech Centres, Goethe-Institut, the Czech Literary Centre of the Moravian Library, the Portuguese Centre Instituto Camões in Prague, the British Council, the Embassy of Switzerland in the Czech Republic, the Liszt Institute in Prague, the Czech-German Future Fund, the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague, the Radislav Baroš Foundation, and with the support of the graphic design magazine Font and Signpek, Papyrus Bohemia, Ambiente, Papelote, NextBike and Aero. by @lustrfestival
LUSTR 13 by nikdy nevznikl bez pomoci našeho stážistva! Letos se nám sešel tým skvělých a kompetentních lidí! ______ LUSTR 13 would never have happened without the help of our interns! 💚 We’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them by name, because they truly deserve it. This year, we were lucky to have such a fantastic and capable team! Poradily si nejen s členitým a různorodým výstavním prostorem, proměnlivými požadavky vystavujících i s poněkud omezeným budgetem. S grácií a nápaditě! ______ Thank you to Klára Konopásková and Eliška Barešová for their amazing work on the exhibition design! They tackled not only the complex and varied exhibition space, but also the changing needs of the exhibitors and a rather limited budget. All with grace and creativity! ______ Thank you to Rozálie Janáčková and Zuzana Kozáčková for putting together the accompanying programme for children. Thanks to our interns, we also introduced something new this year – a version of the exhibition descriptions tailored specifically to young audiences. ______ Thank you to Jana Gurevich for managing the website, bringing this year’s visual identity to life, and assisting with production. From managing the e-shop to painting plinths, her help has been invaluable – that’s what it looks like when someone isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get things done. Thank you so much! Karolíně Vlčkové, Stele Trnobranské a Vítovi Besednjakovi za pomoc s celkovou festivalovou produkcí. Pomohli nám s produkcí workshopů, živého kreslení a s projektem Never Again. Spolehliví a vždycky usměvaví produkční jsou výhra! _____ by @lustrfestival
🙃 A proč? 🙏🏻 __________ Every year, we kind of make a rod for our own backs – because once LUSTR is over, on top of taking everything down and cleaning up, we also have thousands of little slips of paper to count (aka now we know how election officials feel). 🙃 And why? 👀 During the festival, every visitor receives a ballot and gets to vote for the installation that impressed them the most. 🏆 Here are your winners this year: 1. Lenka Stejskalová (@mybookhangover) 2. Barbora Biskupová (@barka_biskupova) 3. Olena Zahrebina (@frogsandparty) Congratulations! 💚 And what does the final ranking actually mean? 📒 All three illustrators will receive prizes that will definitely come in handy for their future work. This year, the prizes were donated by Czech stationery brand @papelote_cz, and we’d like to say a big thank you. 💛 One extra prize package will go to a lucky visitor selected at random, whom we’ll contact by email. Thank you to everyone who took part in the voting. 🙏🏻 by @lustrfestival
Celkovou stopáž bez střihu prozrazovat nebudeme. 😆 Ale kudos @bara_mu + @vero_nika_homolova za to, že během všech příprav ještě našly čas a energii dělat content pro vás. 🙌🏻⚡️💚 _________ We won’t reveal the total unedited runtime. 😆 But kudos to @bara_mu + @vero_nika_homolova for still finding the time and energy to create content for you during all the preparations. 🙌🏻⚡️💚 by @lustrfestival
Právě TEĎ 13. LUSTR skončil. 💔 Tak se na chvíli pojďme vrátit zpátky na začátek, do dnů plných uklízení, měření, doplňování kofeinu, vrtání, žehlení, lepení, organizování, natírání, e-mailování, přesouvání všeho tam a zpátky - prostě do backstage příprav. 👀 Protože takhle se dělá LUSTR. 🙌🏻 Všichni dělají VŠECHNO, ředitelku a kurátorky nevyjímaje. 😆💚 __________ LUSTR 13 has JUST come to an end. 💔 So let’s take a moment to rewind to the beginning, to those days filled with cleaning, measuring, restocking caffeine, drilling, ironing, gluing, organising, painting, emailing, moving everything back and forth – basically, the behind-the-scenes chaos of getting everything ready. 👀 Because that’s how LUSTR gets made. 🙌🏻 Everyone does EVERYTHING, including the director and curators. 😆💚 by @lustrfestival

🙌🏻🌳⛰️ _________ This year, in connection with the main exhibition, we set off on a journey to explore landscapes in all their forms. 🔍 And of course, we also had to ask the illustrators what their favourite landscapes are. 🙌🏻🌳⛰️ by @lustrfestival
