@prof.taeger thanks for this amazing footage showing how incredible science based Clinical Manual Lymphatic Drainage works in the body.

Not every technique advertised out there is actually working on the lymphatic system. Watch the precision, SLOW movement, anatomy focused. Vigorous, fast paced massages, gloves, body brushes, they are not MLD. Period. Stick to medical evidence. 🧬

Curious about how you may feel after your first lymphatic drainage massage? Then keep watching this video and read the captions. 📽️🎞️

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to meet Nat, the winner of our Give Away, and introduce her the power of Manual Lymphatic Drainage. 🙌🏻 She shared on her stories how she felt after her session and I asked her permission to share here, as what she describes covers many questions I get from clients, new to lymphatics or unsure of what to expect.

⚠️ Let’s make it clear that this is a personal experience, HER experience. Everyone is different, we are UNIQUE and the way one feels the drainage effects may differ from how you feel yours.

📌 I always hope that your first MLD session brings you a relaxing and beautiful sleep, lightness in the body etc but the truth is detoxifying isn’t just flowers, specially in the first 48 hours after the session, where your body is moving and processing all the work that’s been done. You may experience “hangovers like” symptoms, headache, drippy nose, fatigue. The Lymphatic System is physiologically SLOW and it takes its time to process and show results depending on the level of inflammation your body is currently dealing with. 🦠🧬⚔️

🌷You may also experience flowers: significant reduction of swelling, bowel movements, less puffiness in the face, urge to pee more often, beautiful sleep and more energised. See? It very personal to each one!

Results are also influenced by post session care (lifestyle too) and hydration levels. If your water intake is poor on a daily basis you will likely not see / feel big changes. Lymphatic movement is based on FLUIDS, you need to stay hydrated in order to help your body to flush out cellular waste.

I’m always keen to know how you feel / felt after lymphatic session. Tag us and let’s share awareness of how amazing MLD can be specially for women’s health. ❤️✨

Thanks @nataliealdercreative 🌷

Can’t believe it’s been three months already since this amazing experience learning about advanced Lymphology, primary and secondary lymphedema management involving gold standard manual therapy and technology intervention. 🧬🔬📚📝

Big thanks to all models who volunteer in courses so we can learn face to face from real people, real life experiences. ❤️

Learning from the best. Knowledge is power! 🚀

Fascia and lymph drainage work together. Free-moving fascia helps lymphatic flow. As simple as a safe stretch, a walk, a gym session. Movement is drainage!

Ps, if you’re performing any stretches or movements to clients, always make sure you ask them if it’s comfortable and what their limits are.

Let it flow! #lymphaticsaustralia

✨ When evidence-based techniques meet therapeutic touch. ✨A session of lymphatic therapy with me goes beyond a regular appointment, it’s a moment for you to rest, feel heard and looked after. ✨

💜 Lipoedema / Lipedema 💜

Special month for our community, where we can get to talk and share more about Lipedema on our socials and hopefully in our daily conversations.

Awareness is important, it helps us spread information to our family, friends, patients, clients and even strangers.

Not everyone feels pain, not everyone has nodules, but everyone once felt there was something a little off, things that wouldn’t change regardless of all efforts. The gaslight, the self doubt. You are not alone.

The earlier we diagnose, the better. It’s not an easy conversation sometimes, but every time makes an impact for someone’s future.

Your DIAPHRAGM holds so much of the power for your lymphatic drainage. Breath work is more than a wellness trend, it’s science. 🧬🫁

The main lymphatic vessel of the body is the thoracic duct, it collects lymph from most of the body and returns it into the bloodstream near the collarbone. At the base of this system sits the cisterna chyli (the “green sac” in this picture) a lymphatic reservoir deep in the abdomen that is pressed by the diaphragm during breath work.

This means: Diaphragmatic breathing mechanically influences this entire region! The diaphragm creates pressure change inside the thoracic and abdominal cavities every time you breathe. 🧘 This pressure changes will help move lymph upward towards the venous circulation to start all over again. ♻️

And even though there’s so much science evidence proving this biological miracle inside us, vibration platforms, gua shas and gloves 🧤still sell better than free breath work. Let’s flip this game, lymphatic drainage is movement, hydration, nervous system.

I work with MLD but still, I will never tell a client they are not getting their results because they are not coming to see me weekly or not using my product every day. Putting the blame on clients seeking health improvement through a service or product we provide is unprofessional and, quite frankly, a shit move. We are supposed to be here to help, not to blame.

Happy Monday! ❤️🌬️

🫁 IN ➡️ OUT 🌬️

Your DIAPHRAGM is basically your lymphatic system’s pump. Breath work needs to stop be seeing as a trend and start getting the respect it deserves.

Not everything is under our control, but this one is. Opt for comfortable clothes, loose fabric (specially PJs) underwear, shoe wear and accessories that won’t leave marks on your body.

Your circulation needs to flow freely. A top that’s too tight, undies that feel like they’re squashing your hips, socks that pressure your ankles, it’s a NO NO. Lymphatic drainage also starts with mindful choices.
