POSTS STORIES REELS

I first met Brad Arnold from @3doorsdown March 29, 2000 in Kansas City at the Muncipal Auditorium. I remember all these random dates even from almost 26 years ago! Their debut had just been released in February of that year, and this was one of their first tours; with CREED and Sevendust. Brad was 21 and seeing the world for the first time. Not knowing how long this would last, he and the band were soaking up every moment. I saw a lot of shows that tour the next two years from Omaha to KC to Chicago to NYC and more. I saw so many of their shows from 2000-2011. Funny story is one of my strangest concert lineups over the years included 3DD. It was 3DD and Run DMC! The thing about Brad is he was kind and he was humble and extremely talented who would blush if you tried to give him any accolades. That stayed true from day 1 and through their rise to being one of the most popular bands out there. You will always find people who speak positively of Brad because that’s who he was. Kind. I’m so glad I got in those 3 shows in September 2024. Denver, Houston and Tampa. They never sounded better! Hearing the news Saturday, to quote one of my friends, it took my breath away for a few minutes. I wasn’t ready to hear it. I didn’t want it to be true. To quote @thebrentsmith , “he’s not gone, he’s everywhere.” So true! He would want us to celebrate him and the years we all had together and not be sad. Obviously devastating for his wife Jen and his band mates Chris, Todd, Justin, Chet & Greg. My thoughts are with them and also with all the musicians and fans who were impacted by Brad. I will cherish all the fun memories forever! Rest easy Brad and please watch over everyone. Here are some videos from my three 2024 shows. The last picture was circa 2003. I love this picture and it’s hard to see that two of the band members are no longer with us now. Get your concert ticket. Take the trip. Go to the show! You won’t regret it. 🎤🎸🥁 by @lynntaylorradio

Happy 30th birthday to @bluewillowbooks !! I stopped in this weekend to support local and buy a few new books. I’m just getting back into reading this year so I’m learning “new to me” authors. @andimjulie was on my list since seeing her co-moderate the Houston stop on #rachelreid Houston tour stop. The book title of @libbabray ‘s new book caught my eye (because, hello, radio!) and also because of the book edges. Vinyl records. So cool! Then when I read the synopsis of the story, I knew I had to buy this one. @johngreenwritesbooks latest Hollywood Ending caught my eye because of the title and the beautiful book cover! And the story summary was right up my alley. I also picked up a sticker because we need to ban the ridiculous banned book list. #bookshopping #books #localbookshop by @lynntaylorradio

Happy birthday to @markttremonti My first time seeing him play was almost 28 years ago and many times since then. These are early Alter Bridge pictures. An amazing guitarist who just loves to play…..and shred too!! Not to mention he’s shown us his love and talent for singing Frank Sinatra!! by @lynntaylorradio

Happy birthday to @iamkevinmartin ! Always one of the best live shows you can see. It’s reverse magic as Kevin keeps sounding better and better every year! See them on tour this spring and summer. You’re going to love it!! 🎤🎸🥁 by @lynntaylorradio

Happy birthday to @joshtoddofficial I can’t believe my first @buckcherry show was almost 26 years ago. Still one of the best live rock shows you can see!! They are road warriors. Make sure you see a show soon! 🎤🎸🥁 by @lynntaylorradio

One of my favorite feelings in the world. To be at a concert. Live music and thousands of people singing at the top of their lungs. When it’s 70,007 people screaming, it’s a rush! The adrenaline, the dopamine and all the good feels!

It’s not lost on me that 3/4 of Creed (Flip, Brian and Mark if you didn’t know) were on their Alter Bridge European tour for the past two months. The tour ended I believe on March 6 only for those three guys to fly back to the states and then directly to the Houston show March 11. Mad respect.

Then the Houston show went off like a well oiled machine. 👏👏👏👏

The song that shot the band to the stratosphere late 1999-early 2000. Nothing would be the same after Human Clay was released.

More of the @officialcreedpage opening at the #houstonrodeo

I’ll give it up to the event for the stage setup. It was awesome. Difficult to grasp how large the stage really was with video and pictures. 🎤🎸🥁 by @lynntaylorradio

One of the downsides to the #houstonrodeo is the artists only get 60-65 minutes to play. I missed having the two hours but an hour is better than nothing!

These shows since they reunited again back in 2024 have been soooooo good. Better than I could ever have imagined. They rival those magical shows from September 1999-December 1999 when they had a couple of years of touring under their belt but they hadn’t taken off in that stratosphere yet. It was that weird time as a fan because all you wanted was for the band to make it and take off but you weren’t ready to share them with the popular music scene yet. 😎

Bringing it back to September 1997 with these short clips. Torn and MOP. @officialcreedpage by @lynntaylorradio

I hear official attendance was 70,007. Sold out show for the #houstonrodeo @officialcreedpage largest headlining show to date. I’m a Houston Rodeo dissenter. It’s not my thing and I try to avoid it like the plague. It’s somewhat easy because they almost never book bands I like or like enough to break my rule by actually going. 😉😎

I couldn’t avoid it this year. My first show with this band was May 25, 1998. I had always thought it was June but recently looked up some old pictures to see it was May. This, I think, was my 38th show. I’ve lost track but I’m in that range so I’ll go with it.

Next week. Another round! 🎤🎸🥁

It must be music appreciation week. I’m not a music downloader and shuffler. I should be though! I had some plane time this week with work travel so out came the downloaded playlists. This gem came up. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. An anthem that sounds better the louder you turn it up! The first time I heard it, it just did something to me. Hard to explain and pinpoint. Music lovers will understand. @sammyhagar thank you for this one! #sammyhagar #eaglesfly #music by @lynntaylorradio

One of my favorite @officialcreedpage tracks. Actually a lot of my favorite songs are their B sides. Oh back in the day the frenzy over the B sides. Released in Europe only and begging, borrowing and pleading stateside to find it! 😎 Digital music fans will never know the satisfaction of landing a B side! 🎙️#creed #music #bside #guitar #drum by @lynntaylorradio
