Auchies Spikkin’ Auchie is a beautiful celebration of the unique language, stories and fishing heritage of Avoch on the Black Isle. Clàrsach player, composer and ethnologist Grace Stewart-Skinner weaves recordings of local people speaking the distinctive Avochie dialect through original music, creating an evocative portrait of her home village and the generations who have shaped it. Joined by Rose Logan on fiddle, Rhona MacDonald on double bass and Ewa Adamiec on drums/percussion, the live performance brings together music, spoken word, archive recordings and film. A fascinating celebration of language, memory, music and place. 🎻 📆 Saturday 14th November @ 7.30pm 📍Lyth Arts Centre 🎟 https://lytharts.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/1173694467 by @lythartscentre
💡 DID YOU KNOW? Gaggle is a completely non-verbal performance. Our lighthouse keepers communicate through movement, gesture, music and play, creating a sensory world that audiences can experience and respond to in their own ways. 🌊 There are moments of stillness and silence too, giving audiences time to process, engage and respond however feels right for them. Made especially for young audiences with complex additional support needs (ASN) and their families, Gaggle is theatre that makes space for everyone. 💙 🎟️ Link in bio. by @lythartscentre
