![☕🍂 Fall is the season for hoodies and thick socks and oversized blankets and lots and lots of spicy, fall-y drinks.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better way to curl up with my WIP than with a large mug of homemade chai in my hands.
Consider this a #preptober essential. 😂
RECIPE:
☕🍂 The best homemade chai ever ☕🍂
The concentrate:
In a saucepot, combine:
2 Cups Water
¼ tsp ground Clove
1 tsp ground Cinnamon
½ tsp ground Ginger
½ tsp ground Cardamon
½ tsp ground Nutmeg
½ tsp ground Allspice
Whisk and bring to boil, then remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes.
Then add:
2 black tea bags (4-5 grams loose leaf)
Bring back to simmer, remove from heat, and let steep for 5 minutes.
Strain and voila! Keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks MAX (like it’ll last that long).
~ 4 servings
The drink:
In your favorite mug, combine:
1 Cup Hot Water
½ Cup Homemade Chai Concentrate
½ Cup Fresh-brewed Coffee
Stir in your favorite sweetener, add a dash of milk, top with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon, and you have yourself the best chai latte ever.
You can also use cold water and add ice for a chilled drink!
(Tip! I like to melt my sweetener [honey] in the hot water before adding the chai and coffee.)
What’s your #preptober drink of choice, writers? 🥂
