A small 2 hour warm-up, trying to improve my ability to convey softness with oils! (Predates my last post I just didn't have a good picture of it at the time 😆) by @macy.km.art
Unfinished but she's cute so I thought I'd post. Tried to limit my tonal range with her! by @macy.km.art
I'm rather unsure about her too by @macy.km.art
I suppose I probably should share the work I've managed to do at Uni this past month 🤭 my main goals were to improve on my use of colour and to play with detail vs the illusion of it. I think my first unit has been a positive step in trying to reach these goals? I'm 50/50 with my like of this one by @macy.km.art
Progress shots and close ups of another piece I made in my foundation. I have a love-hate relationship with this one, and at times I prefer the initial sketch over the more developed piece. I think the finished artwork would have looked better as two separate pieces maybe? I like to think I've improved a little bit since creating this one though, balancing detail and whatnot 🤔 by @macy.km.art
When I created this work I completely rendered it in B&W, and then had a lot of fun playing with colour palettes and such afterwards. These are just a few close ups of my favourite sections! Its supposed to be evocative of a page in an anatomical diary, studying and dissecting a ficticious species of bat, with strange and almost botanical organs. It was a bit out of my comfort zone and I'm still unsure of this piece, but it was fun to try something different! (Unrelated but I'm definitely rewatching Nana before the holidays are up ☝️) by @macy.km.art
I was formally accepted into the Chelsea Collage of Arts today! I'm so excited to embark on a new creative journey come September! 😸 I thought it would be nice to post some of my favourite pieces I created in my foundation, commemorating this past year in anticipation for the next one! by @macy.km.art
A brief self portrait with Pigment Sticks! For my first time I think it went well, I look quite fun and menacing 🖖😼 by @macy.km.art
Struggling to get her to fit! I must get a better camera for university, it blurs and desaturates my artworks 😹. My poor phone has been going on 6 years 🙀 "The Waiting Period" is a 60.0x50.8 cm oil painting completed as my Final Major Project for my Foundation Diploma! It took me two weeks to complete, but it honestly felt a lot longer! by @macy.km.art
A closer look at parts of the painting ☝️😼 by @macy.km.art
Finally had the confidence to make an account!!! 😼 👍 Some close ups of the figures and their fabrics in my Final Major Project, "The Waiting Period" 🩷 by @macy.km.art
