“It’s such a rare thing to meet the people who you know will be in your life forever. It’s on days like today that I am reminded of just how lucky I am to have found one of my forevers.” My Riles, my best friend… I LOVE YOU! I couldn’t agree more with the words that you wrote me for my 22nd birthday, so here I am stealing them for yours. You are one of my forevers. Even though you aren’t here with me anymore, I live a serendipitous life for you every day forward. You impact lives babe, always have and still do. Thank you for everything, truly everything you did for me. I miss you like crazy girl, but I know in my heart that no one can ever take my best friend away. I’m cheersing a fancy pants oyster and a crazy cocktail for you today. I love you Riley and hope you’re getting all my big hugs, especially today. We are in this together, FOREVER! 🤍 by @maddie.grace4

Dad, It’s crazy to think it’s been one whole year without you. I miss you so much. Here’s a little bit of what I wish I could have experienced with you next to me. I finished out the summer at camp! It was fun, but I missed you a lot. My friends were so amazing and supportive. I am so thankful I had them by my side. I know you love when I bring them home and dinner at the club that night was awesome. Everyone came out to celebrate you and love you that week, it was so special. My camp family is stronger than ever and my mentors guided me through balancing the feelings and still working hard for my staff and the kids. I was super excited that they asked me to come back and be Aquatics Chief again this summer! I know you are so proud that I’m back again. Going back to school was tough. I wished you were there to help me move back into the sorority house. Speaking of, this was the most fun year I’ve had yet! I really found my best friends and we made so many amazing memories. We went to Billy Bobs and supported the best football and basketball seasons yet together! But, being at SMU without you helping me through another semester of accounting was hard. You would be so proud though, I pulled through, maybe with a little office hour sucking up to my professor, and made an A! Just my charm I guess ;). I really missed getting to call you everyday on my walk to and from class to talk about anything, everything, and nothing all at once. That was something I didn’t realize I would miss so much. I feel like I have endless and overpowering spirit for the mustangs because of how excited you and I got about all things SMU. (1/4) by @maddie.grace4
