POSTS STORIES REELS

Christmas came early ✨ with the best text that our wedding teaser is ready. I’ve watched it 100 times in 3 hours and suggest you do too! 🤗

Video magic by @hccweddings & immense gratitude to all the other friends who helped take the palette in my head and make it our real life, no easy feat when wedding dreaming began around age 5 hehe.

The girly getting ready moments ✨ by @madeleinecreative

Continuing along with this-time-last-year, a recap of the random details we eagerly stressed over the ~30 days before the wedding ✨ Scroll through to read about a few of my favorite touches, starting with perfect signage for Ruskin’s Bar in Ruskin Park 🐾

Mom painted a custom toile and printed on table runners in time for our engagement night 🥂 so I used the extras to wrap up all my gifties for my parents and C

Colin and I had decided no big wedding gifts, but I couldn’t help myself with something small at the last minute (most certainly a Gifts love language girl!) I had these Texas cufflinks engraved with a heart in a different spot on each — one in Fredericksburg for our first date, and one in Dallas for starting life together there 🤍

I remember googling images and obsessing over the exact hue I wanted for each type of flower we had decided to use, one of my bridezilla qualifiers 🙃

While we were fitting my dress, our sweet seamstress cut and finished a piece from the wedding gown my mom, aunt, and grandmother wore on their wedding days. We embroidered all the dates on a sash and tied it around my bouquet, with a tiny touch of blue for my “something blue” 🩵

The ceremony program probably deserves its own post, it was hands down my favorite paper piece aside from the actual wedding invitation. Okay yeah I’ll share more about this one later 💌

I wanted to include as many personal - not just personalized - details as possible, and one of my favorites was using part of my French opaline collection as bud vases on the welcome table at our cocktail hour. Luckily no breaks!

Our escort wall was the perfect opportunity to show off much of the artwork Mom painted for us 💕 spanning from our toile icons, to a botanical painting of the North Carolina state flower (flowering dogwood) which was our first big trip together, to a post card from Fredericksburg, to the floral pattern from our invitation, to the Elderflower for our new last name.

The embroidered cocktail napkins!!! These were an overseas gamble and they turned out so beautifully. We took the watercolor E and Elderflower artwork and somehow the embroidery actually was so accurate. In love.

It’s about time to make some room on our fridge but I just can’t bring myself to take down wedding paper quite yet! 💌💌💌

Big year for Mad & Dad 🤍 Big love @erikherskind

Incredibly lucky that double walks down the aisle meant all the granddads were with me before they left us. Extra proud of both my parents for how they’ve honored their dads these past few months, and wishing the Happiest Father’s Day to Dad, GB, and Papou🪽🪽 by @madeleinecreative
