if you’re planning a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway soon, here’s an itinerary for ya :) obviously you can tailor it to your preferences (more time hiking, driving, etc.) but you can’t go wrong with this area!!

highly recommend staying at Pisgah Inn or Mount Pisgah Campground if you want to turn this into a full weekend!! lmk if you have any questions about hikes, planning a trip, etc. 🫶

Your sign to plan a fall trip to Vermont next year 🍁 [A D] @helloburlington

My mom and I flew from Charlotte into Burlington (@leahybtv) and spent 5 days leaf peeping, hiking, and eating all the maple things. It was magical!!

🗓️ When to go & where to stay: We went the second week of October. I def recommend the first or second week if you want to see peak foliage! We stayed at @hotelvermont the whole time!!

✨ Smaller towns to explore: Jericho, Waterbury, Richmond, Underhill, and Waitsfield

🥾 Hikes:
 • Waterbury Trail to Mount Hunger (my fave!)
 • Burrows Trail to Camel’s Hump
 • Summit Trail at Mount Philo State Park (go for sunset)
• Rock Point Trail (go for sunset)

🚡 Leaf views:
 • @boltonvalley chairlift rides (there was basically no one there!)
 • Mad River Valley chairlift rides (select weekends only, so go early because it gets busy)
 • Smugglers’ Notch (gorgeous, but go early because this spot gets extremely busy!)

🍽️ Eats + treats:
 • @shelburnefarms for brunch overlooking the lake
• @frankiesvt for dinner (the menu changes every day based on what’s fresh from local farms)
 • @augustfirstvt for breakfast
 • Sneakers Bistro + Waterworks in Winooski
 • Mad River Donuts
 • @palmerlanemaple for a maple creemee

🍎 More favorites:
• Strolling around the Burlington Farmers Market
 • Apple picking at @yatesfamilyorchard
 • Renting e-bikes from @northstarsports and biking out to the causeway

Save this for next fall + send it to your travel buddy 💌

There’s a particular kind of heartbreak that comes with caring and paying attention. #ad #LCVpartner

Watching our public lands get threatened, environmental protections get rolled back, and decisions get made that will affect generations of people who don’t even have a say in them yet. I cry for the future of our planet. I get angry. I wonder how we got to a point where protecting the only home we have is somehow controversial.

But we cannot let that heartbreak turn into hopelessness. The midterms are rapidly approaching. Who we elect determines what happens to our public lands, clean air, clean water, and climate future.

@lcvoters is working to elect climate champions, and there are ways to get involved no matter how much time you have. Share a post, and become an LCV member to help fuel this fight by making calls or attending a virtual or in-person event.

🔗 Take action before November 3rd at the link in my bio!

I LOVE HER SM!! Paisley will be up for adoption next week through @brotherwolfanimalrescue 🤍 she is such a spunky little gal and the biggest lover 🥹 also this room is technically supposed to become my guest room, but I think we can all agree this is a much better use of the space 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dump from a magical girls trip to VERMONT with my mom 🍁🍎✨ [A D] @helloburlington

After flying into Burlington (@leahybtv), we spent almost a week soaking up all things fall! We stayed at @hotelvermont, which was so lovely. Our room had the most stunning view of Lake Champlain 🥹 Places to add to your list for that perfect fall experience (most without the crowds!!) ⤵️

EATS:
 - @shelburnefarms for brunch
 - @augustfirstvt for breakfast (it gets busy but worth the wait)
 - @yatesfamilyorchard for a dreamee + apple picking
 - @palmerlanemaple for a maple creemee
 - @frankiesvt for farm-to-table food
- Not pictured but we also loved @sneakersbistro + @waterworksvt in Winooski!!

HIKES:
 - Summit Trail at Mount Philo State Park
 - Burrows Trail to Camel’s Hump
 - Waterbury Trail to Mount Hunger

DRIVES + VIEWS:
 - Smugglers’ Notch (gorgeous but BUSY, so go early!)
 - Route 15
 - @boltonvalley and @madriverglen for scenic chairlift rides

Send this to someone you want to visit with 💌

Born and raised in NC, and now lucky enough to call the mountains home 🥹 [A D] @nrdc_action

I think a lot about what this place is going to look like 10, 20, 30 years from now. Protecting the environment is partly about the little things we do in our everyday lives, but there’s only so much we can do individually when bigger decisions about clean energy, pollution, and our public lands are being made at a bigger level. These decisions affect the places we love, the air we breathe, and even how much we pay for energy.

What’s your favorite spot in the NC mountains?

someone actually pinch me because HOW is this my life 🥹 like I can just wake up, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, and watch the sunrise in what is basically my own backyard?? hello??? I moved to western north carolina in 2023 at 26 years old, heartbroken, lost, and trying to figure out how to rebuild my life while navigating the year-long separation process required for divorce in nc. now I’m 29, I own a house here, and sometimes I just sit back and think about how different my life looks from three years ago. if you’re going through it right now, I just need you to know that life can look SO different a few years from now. keep going. 🤍 by @madelyneonthemove

one of my longest and most successful relationships has been with a pair of hiking boots 😜 [A D] @dannerboots

I’ve been wearing the Danner Mountain 600s since 2021, and after all these years, they’re still my go-to whether I’m hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains or somewhere across the globe!

I’ve tried plenty of other hiking boots over the years (kinda part of my job hehe), but these are always the first pair I grab when I’m going on an adventure and the ones I recommend when someone asks what to get. even got my mom hooked on them ✨

excited to see where this new pair takes me!!

North Carolinians!! Your midterm vote matters! (sponsored by Double Tap Democracy)

REASONS TO VOTE IN THE MIDTERMS:

- Every state has 2 US senators. One of NC’s seats is open this year, and it could decide which party controls the Senate

- Whoever wins serves a SIX-year term, voting on federal taxes, health care, energy policy, and more!!

- All 14 of NC’s US House seats are up, and the House writes the bills that decide how your federal tax dollars get spent

- State lawmakers in Raleigh write NC’s budget and state tax laws, and pass laws that affect utilities like Duke Energy

- Duke Energy asked state regulators to RAISE rates starting January 2027

- Local races like county commissioners and school boards decide things like property tax rates and school funding

- Midterm turnout is usually lower than in presidential years, which means each vote carries more weight

Early voting in NC is happening NOW through 10/31 (ends at 3pm that day!!) Election Day is Tuesday, 11/3.
