First time shooting in Heart Health Park. Always a blessing to experience new spaces. Thank you to all involved! by @madisonschulte.media

How many different ways can one interact with a space?

@yaseen_mazin put on Comedy in the Park, hosted at @streetsoccersac . An event that brought people from many different niches together to enjoy stand-up comedy, music, food — and of course play. While not inherently a soccer event, many found themselves on the pitch giving it a try. What a beautiful event! Felt blessed to cover it🙏🏻 by @madisonschulte.media

📍 Questa, New Mexico

Earlier this year, I had the privilege of retreating to this beautiful village town called Questa. Questa lies at the confluence of several mountain ranges and rivers in northern New Mexico. The 7 mile long village has breathtaking landscapes, and a long standing culture of connectivity to the land.

The weather was truly one of a kind. The February snow could be seen rolling down the mountains toward the house almost 10 minutes before a flurry could be felt.

Despite a small population of just under 1800 people, Questa also does in fact have a soccer team! Having only 1 high school in the area, the soccer team travels a minimum of 40 minutes to reach the other schools in the towns over. A midfielder, who worked at one of the only sit down food spots — The Wildcat Den— kindly let me ask all about it when I saw his “Questa Soccer” shirt.

Closing note, I highly recommend looking into Questa or any other “unheard” spots in the U.S. Everybody knows LA, NYC, Miami… This country is too darn big to not be curious.✌️🌄 by @madisonschulte.media
