New portfolio book from 2025! I love this time of year because I get to rest up a bit after a busy holiday season and take stock in the previous year. Creatively it's been such an amazing opportunity for growth, and the one area in life where I feel the most optimism and excitement for what's to come. ✨
If you are an artist, I highly recommend making annual portfolios of your work documenting the Year in Pictures. It's so nice to see it all in one place! This is my fifth book since starting this crazy journey.
This year I went with a black background instead of white... Really makes those colors pop. 💥
I'm hard at work on my next show on a couple of new customs and also a few pieces for my next show in May entitled "Woodland Enchantment" that I'm super excited for... I'll be sharing the bill with 4 other talented Portland artists so save the date for that! First Friday is May 1st, 2026.

End of the year faves coming at ya... Narrowed it down to 18, because more is more and when times are hard, we make more art. This is how we work through the issues that invade our brains, speaking visually through images and color and hopefully celebrating the remarkable while evoking some feelings along the way.
✨

New butterfly studies at Sidestreet Arts for our "Come and Git it!" Holiday group gift show! 🥳✨🎁🎄
I just installed an insane amount of small, affordable one of a kind gifts into a holiday display at Sidestreet and it must be seen to be believed!!
Here are a few offerings from the Magic Hour Glass, yours truly.
Festive Christmas pickles and butterflies with colorful cabachon gem frames. These include real butterfly wings with painted bodies, pressed between a clear beveled round and a stained glass back. They will fit nicely into any specimen or curiosities display and make wonderful gifts for all your favorite peeps this holiday season.
If you can't make it to the opening this first Friday, be sure to check the website at Sidestreetarts(d0t)c0m and have it shipped to your door, or directly to your recipient.

The new kiln is all hooked up and working beautifully! Such a relief to be back in business fusing again and the first test fire I did was to make these hearts in support of Ukraine. 🇺🇦💛🇺🇦💙🇺🇦
The escalation of the war and unconscionable acts of Putin (and our monster-clown president (not my president) are a horrifying disgrace.
Please don't put off voting.. it's so SO important to show up at the polls and turn some tables ASAP so we can hopefully work together to rebuild all of the mass destruction caused by the malicious, reckless, illegal acts of those in power these days.
I'm working at Sidestreet Arts today from 12-5! Swing by for great art, free hugs, and ukraine hearts.✨✊🏻

Part one of a new line of repurposed vintage uranium spiderweb plates !! These all glow under UV light and contain safe-to-own levels of uranium. Part of a bygone era before we knew the dangers of including certain metals and minerals in our dishware.
🕸️🕸️🕸️🕷️
Stay tuned for part two...
These will be exclusively available at this year's Reclaim It Holiday shop in December in Portland.

Welcome to the latest edition of #failurefriday ! I wanted to wax philosophical for a moment about a recent setback and I'm happy to report things are looking up.
So happy to put this debacle behind me and although I'm not in a hurry to relive anything similar again, I know I will survive it if/when it does.
Hang in there and happy weekend, friends!
