26/27 RELAUNCH U18 GIRLS COLTS - message from Jo Randell, Head of Girls Maidenhead RFC:

This season at Maidenhead RFC we're bringing club rugby home for U18Gs. Our sole aim is to keep our U18Gs together, enjoying rugby at Maidenhead RFC as they transition to senior rugby.

As 15 of our U16Gs move up to join U18Gs Colts, we’re changing things to keep our players having fun, developing, training and playing rugby around their sixth form or college studies.

U18Gs Colts will be an exclusive Maidenhead RFC squad keeping focus 'in club' rather than clustering. We will strengthen ties with our senior women and boys Colts, and embrace a club-wide initiative to promote the Colts (boys and girls) into senior rugby. 'Super Sundays' will celebrate coordinated Sunday home fixtures played back-to-back at Braywick.

We've listened and developed this offering with best interests of all players, whether they play rugby to be fit, in a team with their mates, or have ambitions to play higher level rugby.

🏉 COMMITMENT we ask girls to commit to fixtures early in the season. Get those games in diaries now!

💜RECRUITMENT We already have a few new faces and welcome all new players especially experienced athletes – rugby ideally, but netball, football, hockey, rowers, track+field, gymnasts, tennis players etc.

🏉 TRAINING MOVED TO THURSDAYS promoting U18Gs into club-wide Senior Training nights alongside senior men, women, and boys Colts, enabling our college players to also train at Maidenhead – same time, same place each week.

🏋‍♀️ ELEVATE Rugby Development Programme primarily designed to support players NOT choosing a college pathway but still maximise potential at senior rugby if at Maids, uni, or even Red Roses. Next semester starts early September.

Thanks for reading. Any questions, let me know! #bleedmagenta

Come join our senior women!

Established just last season, our senior women know how to have fun on and off the pitch.

We welcome players of all experience from returners, players looking for a new team and complete beginners - our experienced coaching team will look after you.

After a successful first season, we’re ready to take the new season on in a big way, entering the Inner Warrior League and welcoming more players.

Our women are training throughout the summer on Thursday nights. Come and meet the team at our Taster Session on 22 Jun!

*ONCE A MAIDS GIRL, ALWAYS A MAIDS GIRL!*💜🐧

We couldn’t be prouder of these girls earning their place in the England U18 PDG!

A credit to themselves, their hard work and everyone who’s been part of their rugby journey so far.

It’s fantastic to see our youth girls’ programme developing and giving players the platform to go on and achieve things like this.

Girls, we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. You’ll always have a home at Maids!

12 TRIES SCORED. NOT ONE CONCEDED!🐧💜🔥

Our first competitive league game and what a statement from the Iron Maidens! 12 tries on the scoreboard and a defence that kept the opposition out. Now that's a performance to be proud of!

Skill, grit and determination from a squad spanning 18 to 48 years old. What a team, what a start, and what a future ahead!

Can't wait to see where this squad goes next.

Fancy being part of the Iron Maidens? Come and join us! Whether you've played for years or never picked up a rugby ball, there's a place for you at Maids.

IRON MAIDENS the calm before the storm on Sunday. From the peace of our female only changing room to a stonking home win for our women in their inaugural inner warrior league game! All that hard work is really showing ladies, well done! by @maids.girls

NAT CUP

U16Gs Huge congrats to our superstar u16Gs for their strong win away at Barnes on Sunday. What a way to kick off this season's pool games, continuing successes from last year. Well done girls - so very proud.

U18Gs were sadly forced to withdraw from their game v Wycombe last minute due to an unusual number of injuries across the squad. Not a decision made lightly but the best of the team. Rest up girls! by @maids.girls

💜🐧RIGHT THEN, MAIDS… IT’S A BIG ONE!🐧💜

Their first official full XV fixture. A full 80 minutes. A massive moment for the team.

These women have put in the hard work, grown together and earned this moment. Now it’s our turn to show up for them.

We want a touchline full of familiar faces, new supporters, teammates, families and the whole Maids community. If you’ve ever wanted to see what women’s rugby is all about, THIS is the game to come to!

Let’s make them feel the full force of the Maids family behind them. Be there, bring the noise, and make their first 80 minutes one to remember!

Get down to Braywick, show your support and let’s make it a day to remember!

MAIDENS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE 💜🐧

It’s a proper girls’ rugby takeover this weekend!

Our U10s, U12s, U16s and Colts are all heading out on the road, while back at Braywick our U14s get to do something pretty special — lining the pitch as Guard of Honour for the Iron Maidens’ first official fixture 💜

Different age groups.
Different opposition.
Same club.
Same Maids.
