While in Florida, I planned on painting a few Florida scenes, but my hand has a mind of its own😂😂. There is just nothing that smells better than the wild Beach roses… Wish we had them down here. by @mainepointofview_

In Florida till next week, but I just found out that my painting of a popular spot in Yarmouth, has been accepted into an upcoming show. I got back behind the easel yesterday after a little hiatus to paint a little piece of my neighborhood back in Maine. by @mainepointofview_

It’s a wrap… I could literally get lost in this painting! by @mainepointofview_

After photographing on Monday, I knew I had to try to get a little of the fall colors in paint… Nothing will do it justice because it is beautiful this year, but I love this little spot I found. by @mainepointofview_

It’s been a week since the first surgery and I am so happy to be back behind the easel. Photographed a lot of fall colors yesterday, once I finish this one I may take a stab at it. by @mainepointofview_

Last painting for a while, I head to Boston for surgery on Wednesday and Friday. Hope to be home recovering by next weekend, but I don’t know if the weather will be this beautiful. Had to capture it while I could. by @mainepointofview_

I was dreaming of Summer…. So sad to see it go. This little 8x10 brighten my day. Till next year!!! by @mainepointofview_

A friend asked me to post the process. It’s kind of crazy isn’t it. Before I loved painting, I love music, so a shout out to “Rustic Poets” for getting me through the finish line.
Clouds can literally take you away and you almost get lost in them. My work here is done time to finish another one.! by @mainepointofview_

Not done, but when this song came on, I knew I just needed to stop and enjoy the process. JT is my all-time favorite musician and this is the song I used to sing with her. I used to put my kids to bed to it. When my mom passed, I went to clean out her house and when I went next-door to grab a bite, the musician who was playing started playing this song. I went to put money in his till and thank him for the song and he said it wasn’t even on his lineup. Something just seemed to tell him to play it.I think she is telling me to take a break and relax…. Enjoy the process. Florida was my mother‘s home for about 15 years before she passed. She told me she wasn’t afraid to pass as long as she could see the palm trees swaying until her last breath. I’m going to stop take a breath and finish it tomorrow …I think she likes it.❤️ by @mainepointofview_
