Design Within Reach has a yearly contest called The Champagne Chair Contest. The idea is to make a chair with only the cork, foil, cap, cage and label from no more than two bottle of champagne. For years I think about participating but this yearly I finally took the plunge.

Hope my little Malpaso Chair wins!!

This renovation in Riverside Park , overlooking the Hudson River, creates a modern space from an existing conventional pre-war apartment. The 1,500 sf project utilizes a multi-toned palette of materials, lighting, and textures in order to promote openness and warmth. French doors in the main living area, discreetly opens into a home office. The kitchen and bathroom were designed with maximum efficiency in mind, while utilizing the most elegant and hand crafted material palette.
