During the @pola.con Portland Neon tour there were clowns. Do they enjoy never turning off or is there comfort in being something so ridiculous and unlike yourself? Anyway, we went back over many nights to capture Portland’s best neon. #polaroidslr680 by @mamiyaroid

One the main draws at @pola.con this year was @analogwisdom ‘s DIY peel apart film. Sophie is amazing! (First is scanned in color and more accurate to the almost sepia tone of the print & the second is grayscale.) @instantfilmsociety This is a scan of the paper positive. There is also a negative using xray film. by @mamiyaroid

During this year’s @pola.con I had a blast testing out the @polaroid Go Gen 3 camera at a @muddypawsrescuenyc adoption event on Saturday.
As of today all these dogs are still available for adoption. 1) Cococnut 2) Dustbunny (available June 9th) 3) Loki, 4) Milo 5) Century 6) Rudy by @mamiyaroid

I’m fundraising for animal conservation! #runforthewild2026 is a run/walk @bronxzoo April 25th. You can donate at the QR code in this post or at the link in my stories and bio. I’m aiming to raise about $100 and I will also personally donate money to a local food pantry run by @cflsunsetpark up to $100. Let’s save some animals and feed some people together! by @mamiyaroid

Woke at 11am and managed to roll out of bed and get to Coney Island by 12:15 to photograph the annual Coney Island Polar Bear Club New Year’s Day Plunge! My favorite event to photograph. Dancing on the boardwalk. Other ppl feeling accomplished. Running into photographer friends. Making new friends. It’s all good times. I was trying to photograph the dog and fell by tripping on a hole in the sand but my cameras and my butt didn’t break. Need to develop my film so hold on, the real stuff is coming to my newsletter. #coneyisland by @mamiyaroid

Really proud to have been part of the @freefilmproject both with the residency and exhibit in partnership with @worthlessstudios but also helping curate this wonderful next edition in the Free Film photo book series. One Square mile was the directive given to participating photographers and they really understood the assignment. I chose Sunset Park as my location because I have worked there for more than ten years and grown as an educator and artist in that time. (When I started at Sunset Park High School I was a writer/ drummer in a heavy psyche rock band. Now I am a writer/slash photographer who only touches the drums in Guitar Center every few years!) I hope you will buy a copy of the book and see all the work and dedication that went into it. As a writer, I thought a lot about what I would say about my chosen neighborhood and I hope I did Sunset Park justice. I participated in the South Bronx segment and have a photo from that location in the book. I’m also happy to see @adrianb718 in the book. He’s a photographer I found on here a bunch of years ago and befriended. It’s nice to see these connections grow and flourish. by @mamiyaroid
