A BRieF dumpski 🦀🏅

Thank you to all the shooters 📸. Y’all made this weekend super special too! by @man_what

Thank you Baltimore! Another @baltimorerunfest in the books and this is one of my favorites to date. Ya boy just PR’d his half marathon on one of the hardest courses out here. And I couldn’t have done it without the Baltimore running community. Y’all ALL continue to be a beacon of light in my life and I love you ALL for it! To everyone who got a chance to experience this specific flavor of joy for the first time or the umpteenth time - CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU TOO!

But man - I gotta give a special shoutout to all the spectators who showed up and lined these hilly streets and ESPECIALLY THE CHEER CREW STATIONS! The home stretch of this race is TOUGH. But coming in and out of Montebello and seeing @harboreastrunclub kept me going after that climb from Patterson Park. 33rd is one of the sneakiest hills in the city but @solesforsoulsbaltimore & @trackhawksrun were right there to push us up the hill. Then I got a lil downhill treat to tap in with the @atribecalledrun family - who had North Ave ROCKIN! (Big thank you to @mileage_junkie for the 📸). Now this part of the race is usually lonely till the end and my tire pressure light was on at this point - but @alioop_0_o_runs told me that I got roll safe tires with my warranty so we kept pushing. And my @neighborhood_runners family reminded me that I got that DAWG in me (slide 4). Right after that I got a pleasant surprise from Mr @mingobydomingo himself at the @d17running cheer station who paced me to the final turn. And then you know once I saw @blockblazersrunclub I had to BLAZE the home stretch!

Damn, that’s a whole lot of words. If you read all of that - thank you too. This community is special to me man. This life is special to me. Thank you to everyone for such an amazing weekend. by @man_what

This Chuck 12 #MedalMonday is dedicated to the Baltimore Running Community. If you ever read these post race captions then you know this isn’t the first time either. Pay attention when you read anyone’s post from the race the other day - I’m willing to bet that they are grateful for those who dedicated their time, energy, and voices to left us up as we ran this tough ass race.

Although I probably went out too fast to start (thanks @jzing, @jennifer.maxwell6, and @keveland3 🙄) that mile 7 - 9 stretch really put a battery in my back! Started with the right energy at the @solesforsoulsbaltimore cheer station at Charles & 29th. To the @blockblazersrunclub turning up the heat right before North Ave. Can’t forget @neighborhood_runners cheer crew taking over Biddle St. And then pushing through the @atribecalledrun cheer station at the Washington Monument! I couldn’t have done it without any of yall!

A lot of words to say THANK YOU TO YOU ALL! Let’s do it again with the rest of these fall races! by @man_what

You stay classy, Falmouth.

Thank you again @atribecalledrun @allkashnobrakes @iamjarrhettbutler & @asicsrunning for the opportunity. #FriendsOfTheProgram by @man_what

Another Gritty July. As long as I keep living, Imma keep going. Living 31/31 ✅ by @man_what

$Obviously there’s a lot going down here in Baltimore this weekend but nothing quite like the 51st Baltimore Women’s Classic! The ladies were out in full force and the vibes were high like always! I love volunteering at this race on behalf of @solesforsoulsbaltimore and showing just a fraction of the love and support that these wonderful women give the rest of us on a day to day basis. Congratulations to all the runners today and shout out to all the home teams! The Baltimore running community - there’s nothing like it anywhere in the world! @charmcityrun @atribecalledrun @runnersrun_ @blockblazersrunclub @trackhawksrun @harboreastrunclub @neighborhood_runners by @man_what$

Another #SOTC10K and another PR in the books. S/o to the Tim Squad for providing the pace. Happy #MedalMonday to all who celebrate 🏅 by @man_what

Life at 33 Vol. 1: Medal Monday Edition

Man. What a year. And what a way to cap it off. My first marathon. I’ve been wanting to avoid the cliche marathon sayings when writing this but it’s apparent that they are truly life lessons after the year I’ve had.

“Life is a marathon, not a sprint” As long as you got the gift of breath in your lungs, your physical health, and the support of those around you - you can do those hard things. It may not look pretty. It may not even look how you wanted it to - but it can get done.

“One step at a time” It’s truly not over until you’ve met that goal or you’ve stopped trying altogether. You giving up or not?

These things seem more straightforward to me today than they ever have. After months of training (which had its own life lessons of its own) I’m going into this new year feeling accomplished but also remembering that the goal hasn’t changed: Be better than the man that you were yesterday.

Thank you to everyone who helped me get across the @surfcitymarathon finish line yesterday! S/o to my community for the love and support - I really needed yall yesterday and yall showed up and showed out! by @man_what

Where we going twin? Don’t even matter - I’m there. #YouHadMeAtOkoye by @man_what

Summer is over. Simple & plain… by @man_what

Happy #MedalMonday🥇 to all who celebrate! Still a work in progress but it’s always a pleasure to see the hard work and consistency paying off. The year of the PRs continues! The goal for this race was to finish in under 2 hours. That quickly changed to “catch up with @jzing and @keveland3” after about a mile. Crazy thing is - I caught em both 😎 Thank you ladies and thank you to the Baltimore Run Community for making every race day special! @atribecalledrun @runnersrun_ @blockblazersrunclub @solesforsoulsbaltimore @charmcityrun @neighborhood_runners @harboreastrunclub by @man_what
