🔥 FUEGO🔥HAS ENTERED THE CHAT….. 💬

With less then 180 days til AUSTRIA, we shall have our first dance in Louisiana, at @yallstarstournament 😈🔥

I tried out for Fuego a few times prior to this, but to be real, it wasn’t my time. in life in money in mental wellness/or training-it wasn’t, I had to place my puzzle pieces in a better order. 🥹

I moved to the Midwest to try my hand at some harder things. I fell in love and left my hometown/family and place of birth, San Antonio, Texas, after 40 years. We settled our home 🏠 and my stuff before I transferred to @archrivalrollerderby and @stlgatekeepers, but I thought. Why stop there? 🥹🥹🥹 opportunities can come but they can go just as fast right, I had to try out again for Fuego.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

In the short time I’ve known these skaters, just through discord bonding and Instagram, I am extremely stoked to feel comfort and confidence, even in some ways I never felt strong in. Like not knowing Spanish. 🖤 (ps we all said we’d help each other🥹)

here is some pictures of very important people who made me, my mom, Nancy, and her Father/my grandfather Zijifredo, who hand sewn all their attire in these pictures.
The last picture- the man himself, my dad-the late, Fernando Treviño and me, circa 1987.
Some of our family threads ran from San Luis Potosí, and Monterrey, Mexicó, however, I’m rather certain there is more. 🖤🖤🖤

I am THRILLED to be skating with these skaters and reppin our families in such a huge way. this is for THEM. 🖤this is for teaching us to be proud of our heritage, no matter if anyone tried to dumb it down. BE LOUD.

Last week I turned 42. Haha my brain almost typed 24, & that’s funny. no thanks! I have a tiny piece of glass in my foot, a splinter I can’t find. I am tired and angry and ragey for actual no reason, but when it picks it’s day -it sure do pick it’s day. Perimenopause is a real fuckin dick, and it raged all my elders in my fam except I’m probably the only one who’s been allowed/not shy to talk about it or bitch about it.my back my hips my midsection. Hurts. My period stays for days days days days days and i just read something today about FROZEN SHOULDER. WOW I hate all of this. But. We are moving right along. I got a bunch of new vitamins, and calculating when to take em. I am working on eating again, because all of this really sucks with my head too, & body dyspmorpia? YAY. 😬😎🤮😘😅🤣🥲 BUT love the Midwest. Love my arch family for having my back. Loving work with all the new this or that. life is good I just got days I can’t move and I cry a lot and body is screaming -BUTOMFG OK WE DOIN IT WEE lololololol thanks for reading. T minus around 35 days til SWEDEN!

At times, it makes me sad I no longer play in the MRDA. However, I am pretty privileged to have had multi spaces everywhere to skate. I’ve been til recently, on at least (plus/not including funsie/side/state teams) two competitive teams simultaneously, since we came back from Covid. I haven’t been on zero side projects, since …never. (State teams, bipoc, fuego)
There is pros and cons to this and while the pros list completely outweigh the cons (for me, & probably anyone really)
I am happy. My body thanks me. my future me, thanks me. At times it sucks and I’d be lying to say I don’t get FOMO ever so often- but I love to say- Quality over quantity.✨ you have to remember sometimes why you step away from things that no longer serve you. your why will always matter.

I belong here. I work hard to stay here. I am wanted here. I hold my own, but prefer to hold it down with them. and oh. Yeah. I will never be told I’m too small in Wftda. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ LOL 😆 😏 #dumb
ONE TEAM-MY TEAM.

My @antikskates park skates got a little revamp at @rollercon. New reactor cushions, new @sacredrollerskatesupply house cheese cube stoppers(not really called this but, come on, adorable) and what I truly came for, the @brunnyhardcore grind block which these angles terrify, and yet, intrigue me so much. (I had a very basic won’t mention name, prior). I am STOKED. JUST LOOK HOW PRETTY.

Side story- it’s been 3 years since I’ve stepped into a park til this past weekend. Can you even believe it? 🥹🥹🥹

Huge shout out to @sacredrollerskatesupply, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. 🥲🥲🥰🥰🥹🥹🥹
