Grateful to the UNDP, Youth Forum and Youth Advisory Council for the opportunity to contribute my voice to this important conversation. 🇹🇹

Democracy isn’t simply about the right to vote. It is about having a voice, being heard, feeling safe enough to participate, and knowing that our institutions can still respond to the realities of the people they serve.

The conversation is bigger than politics. It is about us.

There’s the ocean but then there’s ME. Happiness comes in waves.🤍 by @marc__antonie

The literal definition of naked is to be unclad. But metaphorically, how many of us are truly naked?
To be naked in the truest sense is to embrace vulnerability, extend grace and possess the confidence to stand comfortably in who we are. It requires authenticity, honesty and the courage to exist without pretense.

Perhaps true nakedness has less to do with what we take off and more to do with what we allow ourselves to reveal. -M.A. by @marc__antonie

When all layers are peeled back, through it all, I always find reasons to smile.

When you’re aligned, everything around you just fits. 🦂 by @marc__antonie

The greatest threat to democracy isn’t disagreement. It’s disengagement.

I closed my remarks at the UNDP Youth Policy Dialogue with a simple reminder:
Young people are not the future. We are the present.

Democracy doesn’t thrive by default. It survives when people participate, ask questions, challenge ideas, and refuse to sit on the sidelines.
Every voice matters, young people, women and marginalized communities.

Don’t just inherit democracy. Improve it. by @marc__antonie

Today was absolutely what I needed. No matter the challenge, I somehow find a way to navigate it with grace and come out stronger, more confident, and more convicted in who I am.

At the UNDP Youth Policy Dialogue on Democracy Under Pressure, I spoke about a growing challenge of our time: the fact that truth itself is facing an existential crisis.

Today, those words resonate even more deeply with me. As someone currently experiencing the effects of misinformation and disinformation firsthand, I am reminded that the erosion of truth is not an abstract concept, it has real consequences for real people.

Let the facts speak for themselves. Truth does not fear scrutiny.
