I will be on Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta tomorrow morning in the 9am hour.

No I did not work on the movie. Just sharing and being a specialist talking about the movie.

Last night, my son, 10 colleagues, and friends joined me for a screening of Whalefall, courtesy of 20th Century Studios and Jesse Gonzalez and Ashley Baker of Allied Global Marketing, who invited me and my guests to experience the film.

What a thriller! Within the first 10 minutes, you're holding on to your seat for dear life. Forget Jonah and the whale or Pinocchio and Monstro—this is an entirely different kind of ride. By the second act, you're strapped into a cinematic rocket ship that doesn't let up!

If you're a fan of thrillers, Whalefall is one to put on your radar.

A huge thank-you to Jesse Gonzalez, Ashley Baker, 20th Century Studios, and Allied Global Marketing for the invitation and for making it possible to share the experience with my son and friends.

Great film. Great company. One wild ride!
Get your tickets today.

I’ve accepted a position as a Part-Time Filmmaking Teacher at New School (TNS) in Atlanta, where I’ll be teaching high school students the art and craft of filmmaking.
TNS’s approach to education really resonated with me. Their commitment to project-based learning, community engagement, interdisciplinary work, and treating Atlanta as an essential classroom creates an exciting environment for teaching filmmaking.
I’ll be guiding students through the complete filmmaking process from story development and screenwriting to pre-production, directing, cinematography, lighting, audio, editing, and post-production.
What I’m especially looking forward to is bringing my experience as a professional filmmaker and cinematographer into the classroom while giving students the opportunity to create, experiment, collaborate, solve problems, and develop their own visual voices.
I’m also excited that this role allows me to continue my work as a professional filmmaker while bringing that real-world production experience directly into the classroom. I believe there is tremendous value in students learning from someone who is actively working in the industry and can connect classroom lessons to the realities of professional production.
I’m looking forward to continuing to work with young filmmakers while remaining active in the professional film and production community.
I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to get started with the students and faculty at The New School Atlanta.
Two worlds I love professional filmmaking and teaching coming together in one very exciting next chapter.

Odyssey scholars are using the Blackmagic Camera App on their iPads to shoot interviews, commercials, and short stories. Students inquired if Millicent (Milli) Bailey, a Westminster IT Film/Video Tech, would allow them to interview her. With call sheets in hand they had a great production.

I’m excited to share that I’ll be joining Odyssey Atlanta this summer as a Film Audio Video Enrichment Teacher for their High School Division.

In this role, I’ll be teaching scholars the fundamentals of filmmaking, including:
* Camera operation and cinematography
* Visual storytelling
* Video editing techniques
* Sound recording and design
* Collaborative production skills
As someone with over a decade of experience in video production, underwater cinematography, and immersive visual storytelling, I’m looking forward to helping students explore their creativity and develop practical filmmaking skills. There is nothing more rewarding than watching young storytellers gain confidence and bring their ideas to life on screen.
Thank you to Odyssey Atlanta for the opportunity to work with such talented scholars this summer. I’m excited to inspire the next generation of filmmakers and visual artists.

A heartfelt appreciation to Commander for their generous support of the Atlanta community through hosting Odyssey Atlanta students. Recently, the students had the opportunity to tour the facility and engage in an enlightening cinematography information session.
The session immersed the students in the intricacies of equipment used in shooting commercials, episodic television shows, and movies. They gained insights into optimizing a zoom lens back focus and the capabilities of the Armada underwater camera housing.

As a member of Odyssey's Technology Advisory Board I was happy to facilitate this opportunity. This hands-on experience was invaluable for the students as they explore the world of cinematography firsthand. A special thank you to Commander for providing this enriching educational opportunity!
