Two losses. Best I’ve felt competing in years.

Second competition this year. Lots of XP gained.
There was a time I’d show up already defeated. Anxious, not wanting to be there, half-giving up before I even stepped on the mat. This time I actually enjoyed all of it.

The familiar faces, catching up with people I’ve shared the mat with before and leaving with a bit more confidence each time. Now most of those people feel like teammates, some of them even became friends.

This time I even used the default podium to enter open weight for the first time ever. And I loved it.

Both matches got me test my back defense a lot and despite not even scoring, I still walked off happy.

Progress isn’t always a medal. Baby steps, every time I force myself to compete.
