10 MONTHS ‼️ In February, in the lead up to what I planned to be a massive year, I tore my achilles in a practice competition. Surgery was a success, my achilles has been fully healed for months now. My medical and coaching team have been incredible in ensuring my FULL recovery, being sure not to skip steps and risk further issues. Within the last month we have pushed through to keep the progress on my right ankle range, something that has been an issue since the start. Excessive scar tissue forming means this process has been less than ideal and mostly all of the time, very painful 😁 With the slow progress in ankle range recently, I have been cleared to return to running and small rebounding to get my bounce back. As long as my range keeps improving, the journey ahead is clear. Still a long way to go… #theyARENTready #injury #recovery #gymnastics #calisthenics #achillesrupture #achillestendon #calfmuscles #gymnasticsinjury by @marcus_casamento

just a quick update from me 🤗 very proud to have been selected to compete all-around at the 2026 Asian Championships. heading over to China for my first international AA in 8 years is a huge step and a milestone that means a lot after everything it’s taken to get here. excited to compete alongside @_lachlan44 , @blair.r.stewart , @daniel_chalabov and @_conormcgillivray for Team Australia 🇦🇺 I’ve also been given the opportunity to run it back at the Koper Challenge Cup on floor. I’ve been working hard to keep my floor competitive and I’m looking forward to putting on a show alongside Conor. both of these events are self-funded. I’ve set up an Australian Sports Fund page to help cover the costs. if you’d like to support my season, please check out the link in my bio. all support is hugely appreciated 🫶 the next 3 months are massive. kicking off with Commonwealth Games Trials in Canberra on May 2nd, followed by Koper, Asian Championships and Nationals. ready to make the most of every opportunity ahead. #gymnastics #gymnast #athlete #australiansport #australia by @marcus_casamento
