Marjory Moretti of Wormwood (and sometimes Botanica) in San Diego, really wanted to be a chef, but found herself crafting with spirits instead. A lover of metal and all things rock, she’s picked up the keyboard and is taking lessons to see if she can become the next Beethoven. When she’s not jamming on the keys, she is also doing spirits consulting and creating opportunities for other bartending moms like herself via mentorship programs and competitions, which she is getting going within the San Diego scene. #craftcocktails #sandiegobar #workingmomlife #heavymetal #musicandboozewithmo by @margi_rita_time

Save the date! See you guys on Thursday 🙌✨ by @margi_rita_time

C’est ouf!” 🤯 (French for “that’s crazy!”) because the culinary magic happening at @wormwoodsd is truly mind-blowing.
If you didn’t know, the talented @omararmasg is the Executive Chef and Culinary Director of the group. John and I finally went in to experience his vision firsthand, and we were completely blown away.
The courtyard has this moody, secret-garden charm that transports you instantly, but the execution of the menu is where the real magic happens. Every flavor pairing is pure genius. Make sure to try the absinthe!
Our culinary tour:
🥖 Warm Parker loaf with rosemary & local honey bee
🦪 Calafia oysters with a fermented spicy kosher granita & citrusy absinthe vinaigrette
🐟 Local yellowtail with coriander avocado mousse, morita sea pearls, & a fermented spicy ginger sauce
🍧 Watermelon mint & strawberry rosemary sorbet cleansers
🍤 Creamy taleggio agnolotti with local pea beurre blanc & grilled yakitori Baja shrimp
🥩 Northern California organic grass-fed lamb rack with goat butter
🐟 Ginger-brined Baja trout with kombu beurre blanc & maple-glazed bok choy
🍮 A stunning Opera & deconstructed crème brûlée to finish
What made the night unforgettable was the service—the team’s genuine passion for every dish made us feel so incredibly welcomed.
If you want a date night that feels like a European escape, do yourself a favor and book a table. 🥀🕯️ by @margi_rita_time
