Lauren & Jake | 9.19.2026

When Lauren and Jake saved a fortune cookie reading “September will bring you peace and serenity of mind”, it felt like a quiet promise of what was to come. On Saturday, set against the sweeping mountain backdrop, they made good on that prediction.

Here’s a little sneak peek into their stunning day! ✨🤍 by @margorosephotography

Through delegate captured imagery, archival ephemera, poetry, projection and a live set by DJ samdiowise, MISS reframes pageantry and the feminine experience not as spectacle alone but as a rehearsal space for confidence, aspiration, and myth-making among young women.

Having documented the Miss FLUNY and Miss FLUNY teen competitions this past year, stepping into the MISS exhibition was an incredibly meaningful full-circle moment. Jess’s vision beautifully reframes the pageantry system and explores how young women create, perform, and claim their identities both within and beyond the pageantry system. The show dives deep into the feminine experience, showcasing confidence, emerging leadership, and aspiration, offering a truly empowerful look at these delegates.

It was an absolute honor photographing the MISS exhibition and celebrating the reception send-off for our very own Miss New York Teen, Lucy.

Walking into the exhibition and unexpectedly seeing my own photo featured on the flag wall alongside these extraordinary delegates left me genuinely speechless. To spend so much time behind the lens telling other people’s stories, only to look up and realize my work, my voice, and my art hold a place of true meaning in front of it too; that is something I will hold close for a very long time.

Thank you Nina and Miss FLUNY Org for enabling me to have a part in such a powerful space, and thank you Jess for including me in this amazing exhibition.

When the creative vision calls for getting right into the waterfall, I jump in; and I love when my couples trust my wildest creative ideas and jump right in with me. 🌊

Heather and Justin have a beautiful, effortless chemistry that made chasing that vision so much fun.

Thank you both for trusting my vision, braving the cold water, and letting your love shine so beautifully. 🤍

A little sneak peek of Heather and Justin’s engagement session, with so much more to come! by @margorosephotography

A few weeks ago, I got to spend some time behind the lens with the incredible titleholders of Miss FLUNY, and to say they are spectacular would be a massive understatement. Capturing their energy, brilliance, and the genuine bond they share was such a joy.

These amazing women are heading to the Miss New York stage in just a few weeks, and I could not be more excited to watch them shine. Here is a little sneak peek from our session; I’m cheering for you all every step of the way! by @margorosephotography

Pride is a powerful reminder that everyone deserves a space to be seen, safe, and celebrated for exactly who they are. Honored to have been behind the lens witnessing that beautiful energy at @cnypride yesterday. Here are a few of my favorite moments from the day! 🏳️‍🌈✨ by @margorosephotography

Such a beautiful day yesterday supporting MISS, an upcoming art exhibition by Jess Petrylak reframing the feminine experience and pageantry. 👑 So incredibly grateful to be included in yesterday’s fundraiser!

👑 MISS, Exhibition Opening 🗓️ Friday, July 31, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM 📍 Art in the Atrium, Syracuse, NY by @margorosephotography

The most beautiful stories are the ones we don’t have to tell, they just happen. During this Mother’s Day lifestyle shoot, we leaned away from the traditional and into the real. I watched for the subtle shifts in energy: the way a hand finds hers for comfort or the shared glances that speak volumes. It’s an honor to witness and document the honest, raw connection that makes motherhood what it is. by @margorosephotography
