✨ Hi, I’m Maria ✨

For all my lovely new followers, I thought it was time to properly introduce myself.

I’m a self-employed makeup artist based in West Cork, travelling all over Cork and Kerry, and I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 10 years now.

After having my son, I made one of the biggest — and bravest — decisions of my life. In 2016, I took a leap of faith, followed my heart, and became self-employed. I hoped it would work out… and now, hand on my heart, I can say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Makeup has been part of me since I was a child. I was always fascinated watching my mum getting ready, playing with her makeup, completely in awe of how something so beautiful could be created with a few brushes and products. That fascination turned into passion — and that passion turned into my career. From working in salons to cruise ships, I’ve always been part of the beauty world, and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come.

What I love most about my job?
The people.

The smile on a bride’s face on the morning of her wedding.
The little tear in her eye when everything comes together.
The excitement, the emotion, the happiness.

There is nothing more special than helping someone feel like the very best version of themselves on such an important day.

My motto has always been:
✨ Beauty comes from what you already have. ✨

You don’t need to change who you are to be beautiful. My job is simply to enhance what’s already there. To help you feel confident, comfortable and glowing in your own skin.

I take my work seriously. I value communication. I never want anyone to feel they won’t get a reply from me. This page is my shop window — and also my community. I want it to feel warm, open and welcoming.

To everyone who has booked me, supported me, or is thinking of booking me — thank you. I am here, I am hardworking, and I am so grateful to do what I love every single day.

If my page brings even a little bit of happiness or inspiration to someone, then I’m doing something right 🤍

Love,
Maria ✨ by @mariacolemanmakeup

Precious moments before the church ⛪️ by @mariacolemanmakeup

When two millennials attempt to make a TikTok… and this is what happens 😂🙈

Safe to say, @hairbymare02 and I are much better at hair and makeup than we are at making Reels 😂 We genuinely gave it our best shot, but I think you can tell we are absolutely NOT made for TikTok 🤣

Thankfully, Aoife was a very good sport and found the whole thing as funny as we did! 😂🤍

We had the BEST morning getting Aoife ready for her wedding at Fota House, Fota Island Resort. Myself and Mary work so well together and had such a laugh from start to finish.

And look at our beautiful bride! ✨ Aoife wanted to look like herself on her wedding day — natural, fresh, glowing and completely her. We kept the makeup really soft and simple, with no need for lashes because she honestly didn’t need them. She looked absolutely incredible. 🤍

But more than anything, Aoife was just the loveliest person. She genuinely radiated beauty from the inside out, and it was such a pleasure to be part of her morning and help her get ready for such a special day.

Her hair was UNREAL, her tan was gorgeous, and all of the suppliers on the morning were so lovely to work alongside.

Aoife, @aoifeclancy1 thank you for having us — we loved every minute. 🤍

Now… enjoy our absolutely shocking attempt at becoming TikTokers 😂😂
