This exhibition was organized by the volunteer organsation @tagtraeumer_ms of which I am part of. The art works were donated from local artists and friends. All the money we raised was used to support the social projects of tagtraeumer e.V.
Together with the team, @_loubeck and I organised and designed the exhibition, curated and sold the art works.

Christmas hosting ideas don’t have to look traditional to feel festive.

This year we hosted a Christmas Royale dinner, a casino-inspired holiday buffet with a playful vibe. Instead of a classic sit-down Christmas dinner, we chose a buffet-style setup to keep hosting relaxed and social. People could move, snack, talk, gamble — no fixed seating, no pressure, no rigid timing.

The concept was inspired by casino aesthetics:
bold red, graphic contrasts, shiny details, and food styled as part of the set design rather than just dishes.

If you’re looking for Christmas buffet ideas, creative Christmas hosting inspiration,
or non-traditional holiday dinner concepts, this is one way to approach it.

Hosting can be playful. And festive without being too serious.

Christmas food should feel indulgent, not complicated.

For our Christmas Royale dinner, food was not the main character.
But we built the casino-inspired holiday buffet around rich flavors and dishes that feel festive
without requiring constant attention in the kitchen.

We planned the menu for buffet-style Christmas hosting:
recipes that can be prepared in advance,
served at room temperature, and enjoyed in small portions throughout the evening.

One of the centerpieces was a brie-stuffed brie —
decadent, playful, and surprisingly easy to make.
It works as a Christmas appetizer, part of a holiday buffet,
or as a late-night dish once the candles have burned low.

When choosing Christmas buffet recipes, we looked for food that feels luxurious and doubles as part of the set design.

If you’re searching for Christmas buffet food ideas, easy but impressive Christmas appetizers, or vegetarian Christmas recipes for hosting, this is our approach: Simple techniques, confident flavors, and dishes that spark recipe requests.Happy holidays 🎄
And a special thank you and shoutout to our lovely assistant @moinmariie for putting up with all of our Christmas nonsense.
