I have focused so much on my struggle with self doubt and lack of confidence. I’ve realized to move forward and overcome this I need to treat myself with the love and compassion I give to others, and to surround myself with people who do the same. No more putdowns or self hatred; just acknowledging my strengths and finding ways to grow from my weaknesses. I am responsible for creating and maintaining the environment in which I can thrive to truly become my best and reach my full potential.

What area of your life do you want to focus on for your future? by @marisabehmer

A great life is found in small habits. Habits that come from the desire for your future. Just taking the steps to do it is all the difference.

And the best part is, it’s already inside of you!

Trust it. ✨

We are born with instinct. The noise and chaos of the world can cloud that and it takes work to once again become in tune with how we are meant to, not only survive, but✨thrive✨ by @marisabehmer

I’m now serving women of the Ozarks as a holistic doula/ birthkeeper! Give my new account some love 💕

Self-sufficient homesteading from the beginning. Why?

2 reasons:

1. We spent our savings making this move happen so now that we are here we have to make the dream happen…. with practically no money to spare.

The land has everything we need to get started we just have to get creative and utilize it.

The prime growing season here in the Ozarks is just around the bend. The soil here is very rocky and far from ideal to till so we will be building raised beds to garden.

With lumber at an all time high we just simply can’t afford to go that route - so we are using ALL that the land has to offer.

2. I don’t want us to get comfortable with convenience. We have some modern tools, sure, but nothing big and nothing fancy.
I foresee blood, sweat, and tears throughout building this beautiful homestead of ours.
.
.

So, first up is downing some trees and making our own planks.

With only an axe and chainsaw we’ll be tackling as many 8x1 and 4x1 boards we can manage.

Currently, I am planning on 10 raised beds to start, with a high potential of more but I won’t get ahead of myself just yet. 🌱
