Every year should build on the last.
In 2026 I’m working toward completing my series licensing to offer annuities and mutual funds, allowing me to support you all beyond insurance and into long-term wealth strategies.
Expansion into VA and NY is a long term goal and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
Always building and always moving forward

My client opened two $100,000 20-Pay Life policies for her grandchildren.
$1,200/year total
Paid for 20 years. Then done.

What I liked most wasn’t the coverage, it was the plan behind it.

She set them up so the cash value keeps growing and can be used at different points in their lives. MULTIPLE TIMES

College. First home. Business. Emergencies. Retirement.

And unlike most families…
the next generation doesn’t inherit another bill.

I was the child life insurance is supposed to protect.

This is the only picture I have of my entire family together. I was about 6 years old, and my little brother Gerard was still in my mom’s belly.

6 months after he was born, I lost both of my parents.

So September being Life Insurance Awareness Month hits a little differently for me.

Today, I sit across from people talking about protecting their kids, replacing their income, paying off the house and making sure their family would be okay if something happened to them.

And for me, it’s never just a policy.

Because sometimes life really does change overnight.

Life insurance can’t replace a person. But it can make sure the people you love don’t have to lose you and immediately figure out the money too.

That’s a big part of why I believe in what I do.

So this month, if you’ve been meaning to review what you have or finally put something in place, consider this your reminder. 🤍

Protect the people you love while you’re here to do it. by @marishellprotects_fs

She thought $50/month meant she wasn’t ready yet….So I showed her the numbers 📈📈📈

$50/month starting at 28
→ $600/year
→ $19,200 contributed by age 60
→ potentially ~$78,000 at an 8% average annual return*

And that’s assuming she NEVER increases the $50.

But listen, she’s 28. Her career can grow. Her income can grow. And eventually $50 can become $100…then $200.

She didn’t need to have it all figured out today.

She just needed her first $50.

Sometimes building wealth doesn’t start when you make more money. It starts when you decide to do something with the money you already have.

Hypothetical example assuming an 8% annual return with monthly contributions. Actual returns vary and are not guaranteed. by @marishellprotects_fs

$250/month doesn’t sound like it could change your life does it? But let’s actually give that money a job 🧐

Let’s say that job is a brokerage account and you decide you are going to put $250/month into it and invest it consistently for 20 years. Just how you clock in every single day…. Hmmmmmmm 🧐

You contributed: $60,000.

At a hypothetical 7% average annual return, that could grow to around $130,000. 👀👀👀👀

You didn’t save $130K.

You put in $60K and gave your money time to potentially grow.

And here’s what I really want people to understand… That money isn’t just a number on a screen. It could become:
A down payment on a property, money to start a business, a cushion when life happens, or another asset helping fund your future retirement.

And unlike a retirement account, a regular brokerage account isn’t designed to make you wait until retirement age to access your money. You can sell investments when you need to (although taxes may apply to gains… 🥹)

You don’t need $100,000 to start investing. Let me tell you something… Sometimes $100,000+ is what happens BECAUSE you started. 🤯

Example is hypothetical and assumes a 7% annual return. Actual investment returns will vary and are not guaranteed. by @marishellprotects_fs

Just a random day in financial services 💻😂 but I can’t let y’all watch me work without giving you some homework.

This week, find out:
1️⃣How much life insurance do you ACTUALLY have?
2️⃣How much of it is outside of your job?
3️⃣And pleaseeee go check who you have listed as your beneficiary 👀😂

Financial literacy doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes it starts with simply knowing what you already have.

Class dismissed. 📚😂 by @marishellprotects_fs

When I heard this, my first thought was… wow, I wish more people understood this cuz It really can be that simple. But somewhere along the way, we made investing sound like a complicated algebra formula 😂

You don’t have to predict the market.
You don’t have to wait for the “perfect” time.
You don’t have to know exactly when to buy and sell.

You just need TIME.
The longer your money is invested, the more opportunity it has to grow, compound, recover from market dips, and keep working for you.

We spend so much time trying to figure out the perfect time to get in… when one of the biggest advantages is simply being in.

And YES, I’m going to keep reminding y’all 😂📈 by @marishellprotects_fs

Nobody teaches us that waiting has a COST.
Not just with investing but with saving too.. did you know that?

Listen, you don’t have to have everything figured out. Just make one decision today that your future self will thank you for later.

What’s one financial goal you’re working on before the end of the year? 👇🏼

Growing up, nobody taught us how to prepare for real life.
Not how to budget.
Not how to build an emergency fund.
Not how to protect ourselves when life got hard.
Most of us had to figure it out on our own.

Even when I found out about the Rule of 72, I didn’t think it could really be this simple. 😂

No complicated formulas. Just a simple rule that helps you understand how time and compound growth(we talked about compound growth in my last post) work together.

The more I learn about money, the more I realize… we should’ve been taught this in high school.
Save this so you can come back to it later, and send it to someone who would’ve loved learning this in school.

The power of compound interest needs to be studied lol seriously though…

Compound interest is when your money earns money… and then that money starts earning money too. That’s what makes it so powerful.

Here’s a simple example:
If you invested $20 a month starting at 25, you’ll generally end up with much more than someone who waits until 35 putting $100/mo
Why?

Because the person who started at 25 gave their money 10 EXTRA years to grow.
That’s why people always say, “Start early.” It’s not because you need a lot of money… it’s because you can’t get time back.
