Vote here: https://thesupermom.org/2026/marissa-chekouras I’ve officially made the QUARTERFINALS, so it’s story time!

When my little sister was just 6 years old, our family’s world changed overnight. She had to undergo open heart surgery at American Family Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. As an 8 year old child myself, I remember the fear, uncertainty, and helplessness we all felt walking through those hospital doors. My sister was in the operating room for 8+ hours. She was set to be in recovery for 2 weeks, she left the hospital after 1 week 💪🏼. She was supposed to be at home recovering for 4 weeks, she went back to school after 2 weeks 👀. She was a force!

I remember the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for her like she was their own. They gave my family hope during one of the hardest moments of our lives, and because of them, my sister got a second chance at life. She turns 28 this year! Shes my best friend!

The hospital that treated my sister is part of Children’s Miracle Network, and because of our experience, this cause will always hold a special place in my heart. ❤️

Today, as I compete in the Super Mom competition and make my way into the quarterfinals, I’m reminded that this journey is about so much more than me. Donations for votes go directly to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, helping families just like mine receive lifesaving care when they need it most.

If you’d like to support me in this competition, know that you’re also supporting children and families facing some of the hardest moments of their lives. Every vote truly makes a difference, and of course I appreciate your votes as well! 😊

Thank you for supporting me, my family, and a cause that means so much to us. 💕 Head over to my Facebook page to vote for free every 24 hours! by @marissachekouras
