Mark Easton doesn’t just replicate the blues, he reinvents it! He plays a mix of blues, rock, Mongolian, Kazakh and Middle Eastern folk music

3 weeks on the road and my garden has gone absolutely nuts with the rain and heat, so it’s time to start roasting chillis, digging up potatoes, picking tomatoes, beetroots, cauliflower, we picked the eggplants and made baba ganoush and Mousaka, so much work to do! by @mark_easton_blues
I had a great finish to my southern tour yesterday at the Thornbury Local, it was great having Kier Stevens on before my set, he is a fabulous player, and it was the first time I’ve ever had another artist cover one of my songs, he did a beautiful version of my song DARK BLUE, which I rarely play live these days, it was a real treat, it was nice to see a few other artists there like Anna Scionti and people I haven’t caught up with for years! It was also nice to catch up with Peter Copeland the original Bass player from my old trio LIMOUSINE and his wife Melbourne is such a viby city! Can’t wait to come back in March! But even more than that, I’m looking forward to getting home and sleeping in a bed instead of my van! by @mark_easton_blues

Saturday 31st at 5pm at BIG EARLE’s in PORT MELBOURNE, Andrea Lav is going to blow a bit of trumpet on a few songs like back in the DEN DEVINE DAYS, before the pop bands took over! Sunday 1st November 5pm at THORNBURY LOCAL in THORNBURY, my old buddy KIER STEVENS (winner of MEMPHIS BLUES CHALLENGE) is doing an opening set, and I’m doing a set, and who knows what that will descend into! But since it’s the last show of the tour so anything could happen! by @mark_easton_blues
