#ICYMI Teaflix Interview - String Revolution and Tina Guo with co-producer Darrell Brown
#GRAMMY®-winning guitar trio The String Revolution (Janet Robin, Markus Illko, and Rober Luis) blends rock, classical, jazz, world music, and cinematic influences into a sound all their own. They won this same category, Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella, in 2024 for their take on “Folsom Prison Blues” with Tommy Emmanuel.
Their new single “Bad Zombies,” with acclaimed cellist Tina Guo, is out now on Lakeshore Records and #EA Games. It pairs Laura Shigihara’s Plants vs. Zombies theme with #BillieEilish ‘s “bad guy,” a natural fit since Billie and #FINNEAS grew up playing the game. 🧟‍♂️🎸 “Bad Zombies” just got a write-up from @in19mag, and we’re thrilled!

A huge thank you to for taking the time to talk with us and for such thoughtful words about the track. Being called a “deliciously dystopian song” made our week. 🙏

Apple Music added BAD ZOMBIES to New in Film, TV & Stage.

A 2009 Plants vs. Zombies theme, four acoustic guitars and Tina Guo’s cello — now sitting on an Apple Music playlist. We’ll take that.

Thank you to whoever made that call, and to everyone who built this record with us.

Listen on Apple Music, link in bio. 🧟

It’s here. 🧟

Huge thanks to Billie Eilish and FINNEAS for jumping in on the arrangement with us! …plus everyone who helped bring this whole thing to life. Tina Guo’s cello on this one gives me chills every time.

“Bad Zombies” — our take on Laura Shigihara’s “Dave’s Theme” from Plants vs. Zombies — is out now.
