On the sidelines of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg, alongside Dr. Ardavan Khoshnood, one of the authors of the Iran Prosperity Project.

My sincere thanks to Austrian MPs @andreasminnich and @dominik.oberhofer for their presence. It was a pleasure and an honour to have the opportunity to meet them.

A special thank you to Swedish MP @markuswiechel for his efforts in organising and coordinating this event and making this gathering possible.

Grateful to everyone for their time and presence. by @markuswiechel

🇪🇺🇻🇪🎙️ | @markuswiechel l on Venezuela’s democratic transition and institutional reconstruction at the Rebuilding Venezuela Summit in the European Parliament:

“The democratic opposition has already shown and demonstrated its strength. The 2024 vote produced a clear evidence of a popular mandate for this democratic opposition.

So the task is to convert that mandate into a functioning state. The opposition holds a democratic mandate.

Turning this into effective control of the state requires independent courts and a credible electoral authority before new contests. Done right, this locks in the popular will and opens reconstruction of Venezuela. And if this is done wrong, then the old networks simply rewrite the rules.” by @markuswiechel

Chippa och registrera katter. 🐈🐈‍⬛ Ännu ett bra förslag som @sverigedemokraterna och @markuswiechel låg bakom, inte Socialdemokraterna! by @markuswiechel

My last contribution as a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is a motion targeting public funds that end up with the Russian or Belarusian regime. It has been an honor to be a clear and loud voice against these oppressors. It will continue, in a different format. by @markuswiechel

In my last session at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe I had the honor to host a side event on the Iranian peoples struggle for Freedom and Democracy together with my distinguished guests @ardavan.kho and @chafiqchahla. This was my introduction. by @markuswiechel

Earlier this week the @econinclusiong managed to hold a very successful event for a free Venezuela at the European Parliament in Brussels. Great discussions by leading lawmakers and experts combined with fruitful meetings among friends can help pave the way for real difference. I was truly honored to participate as one of the speakers. Thank you, friends. Until the next time! by @markuswiechel

This upcoming week there will be a summit covering the future of Venezuela, and I will be one of the guest speakers. Interesting topics by distinguished guests will pave the way for decision makers to no only make the right choices but also get an understanding of how the right support can help and influence the world. by @markuswiechel

Några veckor efter valet har ”vinnarna” äntligen kunnat sitta i samma rum. De fyra vänsterpartierna ska lämna sin fantasivärld och få en proffsig genomgång över samhällsutvecklingen. Mysigt, men vad tänker de? by @markuswiechel

You have the right to vote. Something I do like and that is why this institution is great. It exists to fight for some of the European core values - Democracy, Human Rights and the Rule of law. It is an incredible privilege to be part of it and a true pleasure to use the platform for networking. This past week I’ve not only participated in debates, committee meetings and met with colleagues, I’ve also had the chance to meet with various experts, human rights champions and veterans from the war against Russia, among others. Of course, this week I also got to hold a side event together with Reza Pahlavis Iranian Prosperity Project in support of the Iranian People’s struggle for democracy and Human rights, where we also spoke about the implications on Europe (I will get back to this later). This assembly opens up doors for so many people who contribute in different ways to share their work, expertise and experience. by @markuswiechel

Lots of different topics were covered during my last session as a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. One was related to the struggle for the champions fighting against the Russian occupation of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. I’m honored to raise their cause in Sweden and the international arena. by @markuswiechel

New written declaration published in support of the people of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria against the Russian occupants. Europe needs to follow Ukraines example and I’ve been honored to lead the way in Sweden and in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. by @markuswiechel

My final speech in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe dealt with the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights concerning the Russian Federation (including payment of the compensation awarded). by @markuswiechel
