Meet Marlene Huerta, the Latina school counselor who became an author to help students and families facing fear from immigration enforcement. She’s bringing bilingual resources to support the communities through uncertainty. 📚✨ by @marlyslibros

FREE resource: The winter that froze everything is a story that helps children who have experienced having family or friends detained or deported by ICE. It helps them cope and understand the stages of grief during such a sensitive time of loss and change. I am so thankful for the collaboration of @nessakdesign who created such beautiful illustrations to help this project come to life (I can only post 20 pages at a time, the other beautiful illustrations are available for free download on my website)

You can download this resource for FREE or purchase the paperback copy to gift to a friend.

This tool was created by 2 school counselors who are passionate in bringing a sense of comfort and peace for our undocumented community.

I had the honor to be interviewed today by @pamelasilva with @univision34 to help share my new book. Amongst the nervousness of being live on TV the passion for doing what’s right was bigger. The heart and intention of this project was to bring knowledge to our community and to help children process their emotions during this hard time. The book is available for PDF download free of cost on my website.
