They asked him, how did you do it? No affairs, no flirting, no fantasies all contrary to what is prevalent these days. He didn’t talk about morality or religion, he said “Everyday I choose not me but US. He never said I want to be happy, but I want to be true to her alone and honor our commitment by all means. Not what do I feel today but what does our bond need to thrive today. Love is not comfort, love is choosing the hard to nuture the most important. Navigating new beginnings is not a sprint, it’s often requires reassurances and consistent behaviors, cemented by presence and accountability. My prayer is that beyond religion, mean what you say and stay true to the most important person in your life. Our executive pre-marital counseling is in session. Past clients have shared how even though they have been friends and explored all kinds of marriage materials they never envisioned how blindsided and unprepared they were before they attended our 6weeks Foundations of Forever classes. Husbands and wives, be honest: which one do you say often ? Most of us are guilty of this. You and your partner are not mind readers, okay? I’m not shouting. I just want you to have a wholesome marriage. Comment the number you say most often. Then send this to your spouse. I promise I no go put you for talk. 😄 #marriagetherapy#whole#communicationinmarriage by @marriageandtherapy
Don’t carry your past into your future thinking all will be well. It won’t. Need help navigating this season? Send me a DM. Or save this for the day you’re ready. #whole #marriagetherapy #singles by @marriageandtherapy
Where did you learn how to love, argue and handle money? 🤍 Long before you got into a relationship, you were already watching. How people shouted. How silence was used. How affection was given, and how money was talked about. And some of it followed you into your relationship. Here’s the good part: not every pattern you carry started with you, but you get to choose which ones you continue. Swipe through and tell me in the comments: which one feels most familiar? No judgement here. 🤍 Save this, and send it to someone who needs it. If these patterns still weigh on you or your relationship, my DMs are open. #whole #marriagetherapy #healthyrelationship by @marriageandtherapy

Who were you before the titles? Losing yourself doesn’t happen overnight. It happens quietly, one “for now” at a time. Trust me, you can be a wonderful spouse, boss or friend and still be a whole person. Both are allowed. Save this for the days you forget who you are beyond the titles. #whole #marriagetherapy #healthyrelationship by @marriageandtherapy
Somebody probably told you that a good marriage means learning to give in. Can we talk about that gently? Giving in isn’t always the problem. We all do it, and sometimes it’s an act of love. The question is what it feels like afterwards. Do you feel respected, or do you just feel relieved the argument is over? That answer tells you a lot. So the next time you give in, ask yourself: 1. Did we both give something? 2. Do I feel respected, or just relieved it’s over? 3. Could I say no next time and still feel safe? Save this so you can find these questions when you need them. If giving in sometimes comes from fear of how your spouse will react, please don’t carry that alone. #whole #marriagetherapy #healthyrelationship by @marriageandtherapy
“Ever since they got married, they became a brand new person.” Have you ever heard that? Maybe you’ve wondered what happened to that friend. Or maybe you are that person, and it feels like the people around you no longer understand you. Come closer. Let’s have a quiet chat. Some change is beautiful. But some change isn’t growth. It’s us slowly setting pieces of ourselves down to keep the peace. Swipe to see the 5 parts that get left behind most: 1. Friendships 2. Your voice 3. Hobbies 4. Boundaries 5. Rest Which number hit you hardest? Comment it below. 👇🏽 I’ll read every one. And save this post. Come back in a week and see which part you brought back. Know someone who’s changed and you miss them? Send it to them. #whole #marriagetherapy #selfawareness by @marriageandtherapy
Your spouse is not your other half. I know, that one might sting a little. We grew up hearing that love completes us, that somewhere out there is the person who fills every gap. But when you expect one person to fix your loneliness, your insecurity and your emptiness, it turns into pressure. They can’t carry all of that. And you can’t carry all of theirs. Only God completes us. Paul’s prayer in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 is that the God of peace Himself would make you whole, spirit, soul and body. Your spouse was never meant to do His job. When two people who are being made whole by God choose each other, that’s a marriage that can breathe. So this week, start there. What do you need to bring back to God before you bring it to your spouse? Save this, send it to your spouse, and tell me in the comments: did this change how you see it? 👇 #whole #marriagetherapy #healthyrelationship by @marriageandtherapy
Being held in marriage means being heard and feeling safe at the same time. A Tribemember asked the counsellor what to do when their spouse won’t talk about how they feel, and they don’t want to push or shut down. Which part spoke to you most? Tell me below. #askthecounsellor #beingheld #marriagetherapy by @marriageandtherapy
A healthy marriage is built in the little things we do consistently. ❤️ You don’t have to get everything right. Start with one or two intentional habits. Make time for each other. Speak kindly. Express your appreciation. Keep choosing each other, even in the ordinary moments. Save this as a reminder, and start practising one small habit in your marriage today. Watch things shift. 🤍 You are in good hands. 🎥 Video credit: @waverlymanor ##healthymarriage# #marriagetherapy #intentionalspouse by @marriageandtherapy
