Want to support The Marsh Appreciation and Restoration Society for Happiness (M.A.R.S.H) Project? We are excited to announce that The Marsh Project is officially part of the Carolina Ocean Alliance, which means we can now receive tax-deductible donations to support our work. Woohoo! With your support, we plan to: -Continue to buy and donate native plants to the community in order to rewild yards and create an ecological corridor across the Charleston peninsula! -Offer small scholarships and stipends to students and volunteers committed to rewilding and restoring our neighborhood's ecology. -Create a digital archive and online resource about the marsh's history and ecology. -Throw fun community building events that educate and inspire our neighbors to Appreciate and Restore the Marsh! -And more! New ideas are always welcome! The Marsh Project is a fun and collaborative process. We are grateful for all the volunteers and community partners who continue to support our efforts. See you at the next event! SUPPORT THE MARSH PROJECT donation link here & in our bio!!! https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/002f4270-cb95-48d6-a8b9-9e4a9659f108 by @marsh_project

“This is Halsey Creek. It’s a beautiful creek.” -Dr. Blake, Regular Blake and Joel After many years, it appears that the @citycharlestonsc and our neighbors in Longborough are ready to figure out this whole dock situation and reopen it to the community, so local kids and neighbors can fish, play, and enjoy the beauty of the marsh and creek for years to come! Thank you, CM Ben @dalspizza and Mayor Cogswell for sticking with this! It isn’t a done deal YET! and will require ongoing community engagement, but we’re close to water access for all!!! Hey, we’re Netteworking too! (𝒯𝒽𝒶𝓃𝓀 𝓎𝑜𝓊 @netteshop for sharing these lovely photos of our Artist in Residence (at this point she is!) @misseriangg! Gabriela is the artist behind our last two tees and our first garden-art workshop and this shirt features a monoprint of Halsey Creek! (Painted from the culvert viewpoint on 10th avenue!) After throwing down watercolor on a pane of glass, Gabriela carefully laid wet paper on top of the glass to transfer the painting! 🌈 A 𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝒶 𝓀𝒾𝓃𝒹 piece of art that became a 𝓂𝒶𝓃𝓎 𝑜𝒻 𝒶 𝓀𝒾𝓃𝒹 piece you can wear - scroll to the end to see it! A full house for an evening dedicated to the beauty and preservation of South Carolina's coastal bird habitats! 🪶 We were delighted to partner with the Marsh Project and Coastal Conservation League for Birds and Their Sanctuaries, featuring screenings of Wind Birds and Black Rail's Tale, followed by a fascinating conversation on the importance of protecting our state's shorebirds and the places they call home. Thank you to our wonderful panelists, partners, and everyone who joined us for this sold-out evening! 📸 @emilyb.creative by @marsh_project
