shekdash is a New York City based DJ and producer with a high-impact approach to techno and electronic music. Rolling percussion, hypnotic loops, and relentless dancefloor energy define his sound.

A resident on Rinse FM, shekdash has built a reputation for sharp curation and a deep understanding of dance music. Whether on radio or in the club, his focus remains consistent: bringing energy to the dance floor.

For The Midnight Assembly Freedom Party, shekdash represents black power in techno.

It is truly an honor for us to welcome him to New Orleans.

November 7th, this Saturday, FEAR OF THE BLACK DANCEFLOOR happens at Poorboy's.

Techno from the heart and soul of real niggas. Where we pose the question. What happens when you dare to be unapologetically black in a space of a genre that black people created but are not represented in?

This is the result, now you must deal with us, now you will hear us, Saturday night, join the rebellion.

Are you afraid?

No?
