I used to sit at a 600 credit score, applying for every card I could and maxing them out right after.

Once I learned how scores actually work, I changed my habits and climbed to a 750. Here’s what I stopped doing and what I did instead:

1. Applying for every card. Now I only apply when pre-approved.

2. Maxing out my cards. Now I keep each one under 10%.

3. Paying on the due date. Now I pay before the statement closes.

4. Opening credit with no plan. Now every account has a purpose.

5. Ignoring my reports. Now I pull them and dispute errors.

6.Carrying card balances. Now I use a loan to pay them off and keep the cards open.

7. Swiping for everything. Now each card has one small autopay bill.

8. Accepting my limits. Now I ask for increases once balances are down.

Your score isn’t stuck. Your habits just need a new plan. Save this and follow for more credit moves that actually work by @marylynflores_reyes

You don’t need 2 years in business to get funded. You need these 6 things. 👇🏽

If you’re starting from zero, you’ve probably heard it all. “Not enough time in business.” “Not enough revenue.” “Come back later.” So you wait, assuming funding is something you earn after you’ve already made it.

But here’s what nobody tells you: lenders aren’t just judging your business age. They’re running your business through a checklist, and most new owners fail it before a human ever looks at their file.

Pass the checklist and the game changes.

1️⃣ Make your business match EVERYWHERE. Your business name, address, and phone need to be identical across the IRS, your state filing, your bank, Google, and D&B. Even “St.” vs “Street” can trigger an automatic denial when a lender’s system can’t verify you.

2️⃣ Choose your NAICS code carefully. Lenders classify certain industries as high risk and quietly decline them. Pick the most accurate code for what you actually do, and if a lower risk code genuinely fits, use it.

3️⃣ Get your personal credit to fundable, not just “good.” For 0% business cards you want 700+, utilization under 10%, no late payments, and as few inquiries as possible in the last 6 to 12 months. Inquiries kill more approvals than people realize.

4️⃣ Build a banking relationship BEFORE you need money. Open your business checking where you plan to borrow, let it age 3+ months, keep a healthy average daily balance, and never overdraft. Banks lend to people they already know.

5️⃣ Sequence your applications. Don’t apply for one card, wait, then apply for another. Strategic same-day applications across lenders that pull different bureaus can help you get multiple approvals before new inquiries and accounts show up on your report.

6️⃣ Start building business credit that’s separate from you. Get your free D-U-N-S number, open net-30 accounts that report like Uline and Quill, and work toward an 80 Paydex. That’s how you eventually get funded without your personal credit on the line.

You keep saying you’ll start “when you’re ready.” But ready doesn’t look like a perfect moment. It looks like this:

1. You always dream about owning your business
You don’t scroll on your lunch break. You write down business ideas, what you’d charge, and what your first client looks like.

2. You already picked the name
Maybe you even bought the website name or checked if the Instagram name is free. That’s not a “someday” move. That’s a business owner move.

3. People already come to you for advice
Friends, family, coworkers. They come to you because you’re good at it and you love it. That means people want what you have before you’ve charged a single dollar.

4. You already did the math
You know about how much it would cost to start: tools, licenses, a website, ads. You just don’t know where the money will come from yet.

5. Money is the only thing stopping you
Not the idea. Not your skills. Just the money. And that’s the easiest thing on this list to fix.

6. You looked into funding but didn’t know where to start
Or you applied and got told no. Most people get told no because their business wasn’t set up the right way yet, not because they weren’t ready.

Here’s what “ready” really looks like: an LLC, an EIN, a business bank account, a business phone number and address, and business credit in your company’s name. Once you have these, banks see a real business. And that’s when they start saying yes.

Set it up the right way now, and a year from now you won’t still be dreaming on your lunch break. You’ll be running your business with the money to grow it.

If 3 or more of these sound like you, follow me. I’ll show you how to set up your business and get it funded, step by step. by @marylynflores_reyes

5 money habits the wealthy do quietly 👇🏽

1. They borrow money when they don’t need it! sounds backwards right but banks give you the best terms when you already look stable so wealthy people set up credit lines while things are good and the money is there when an opportunity shows up

2. They treat their credit score like an asset ✨ to them it’s not just a number it’s buying power lower rates bigger approvals more doors open and they protect it on purpose

3. They keep their business and personal money separate 🏦 the business has its own account and builds its own credit so it can grow without putting their personal finances at risk

hey by the way I’m Marylyn 🤍 I help entrepreneurs and 9 to 5ers get access to funding so they can build their portfolio grow their business or honestly just build the life they want follow along if that’s you

4. They never let their money sit still 🌱 instead of leaving cash in one account doing nothing they put it somewhere it can grow or earn because idle money is a missed opportunity

5. They talk about money out loud 🗣️ no shame no secrecy they ask questions learn from people ahead of them and teach the people behind them that’s how the knowledge keeps moving

here’s the truth none of this is complicated it’s just never taught 🤍 once you see how the wealthy actually move you can start moving the same way

Here’s why ⬇️

The system was designed to keep us poor and keep us believing that money is bad, evil , and just not obtainable.

The reality is you have to break that mindset and that is the first step of breaking the rules.

Breaking the rules means

1.Not being afraid of money. How can money come to you when you’re so afraid of it ?

2.listening to people who have been broke their entire life about money. Just think about it would you trade places with them? Then why listen to their advice

3.playing it “safe” when it comes to money. Not putting yourself out there by investing in yourself, businesses, and asset that can take you to the next level if you actually try.

4.believing that majority of people with money are evil and you will become evil once you have money. Instead, start thinking “when I have money I can change that and make a difference for me and my family.

5.Being afraid to use others people money to get you 5x steps ahead. Knowing how to use other peoples money the right way will get you 10x faster than someone “saving for the right time” when the right time never comes.

If you’re new here I’m Marylyn 🤍 I help you understand how to use other peoples money to build wealth & to leave your limiting mindset to actually start building the life you want! Sounds like you? Follow along. by @marylynflores_reyes

Majority of us are too impatient to wait the long game. Have you noticed that every successful person has had a period of failures and went years without a reward ?

The longer you wait the better your reward.

While you’re in this season it can feel like nothing is working and everyone is a head of you and you just suck.

And truth is you probably do suck but that’s okay you’re not supposed to know everything while you’re starting out.

Here are things I do currently as I’m in this season of delaying my rewards.

1. I go on mini solo dates to the cafe as a reward for myself working remotely can get boring so being able to go out and treat myself is a plus.
2. Once I finish a task I give myself a reward of “social media” time. work must be completed first.
3. On Fridays i reflect on my week and see where I did really well at and just let myself feel good about it for the rest of the day. Just reminding yourself of the little things can go a long way.

It’s about the small wins and giving yourself small rewards to add up to a bigger reward at the end. Trust the process and keep going.

Here’s the thing that bothered me.

They all talk about having multiple streams of income as a successful entrepreneur.

But the reality is that they have multiple streams of income after they have made their success.

After studying more than 100 very successful business owners they all had the same thing in common. They only worked on one business until it worked.

I see a lot of entrepreneurs comparing themselves with someone’s day 200 VS their own day 10 and get discouraged.

Here’s what they did.

1. They only had 1 business and were obsessed over that one business. They did the sales, marketing, customer service, etc.

2. once the business started making money they started delegating tasks. The started off with the task that took a lot of time and didn’t make as much money.

3. They all said the number one important thing that kept them going was their mindset. They had to continue to believe in themselves even after months of no money coming in and working over 50 hours a week.

4. Once it finally worked and they were able to step away from their business is when they were finally able to add more streams of income.

Save this for when you feel like you have a new business idea and want to add it as a “new stream of income” instead of focusing on your own business. It all happens to us we just need a little reminder that it’s apart of the process 🫶🏽
