wrapping up 8 years of UDA nationals and 19 years of dance with my favorite people on the planet. @ndsudanceteam means the world to me and I cannot believe it is coming to an end. 5th and 6th in the nation!! OKAY!!! So proud. To my coaches. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for you guys. You have given this team everything you have and it does not go unnoticed. Alya, you have turned this program into something truly amazing and I know you’re not done yet. You gave me my spark for dance back and shaped who I am as a person. Anyone who has the opportunity to be coached by you is extremely lucky. Alyssa, you were here when I joined as a freshman, thank you for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to be a part of this program. Your love for this team beams through you and I am so thankful for all you have done for this program. Thank you both for trusting me to help lead this team and be a part of something truly amazing. To my teammates. You girls are my home away from home, my second family, and I will miss you all more than anything. I know you will all do great things and I can’t wait to cheer you on for years to come. To the seniors. We did it. You all are very special to me and these 4 years with all of you have meant everything to me. Thank goodness most of us are sticking around next year because I cannot say goodbye. It’s been quite a journey, here’s to whatever comes next! To my family. Thank you. Thank you for always being there and never failing to show up. Your constant support means the world to me and I am forever grateful. To my mom. You gave me the passion and love that I have for dance and we have shared that for as long as I can remember. You always pushed me to be the best I possibly could be whether it was learning how to count music in the car, practicing leaps down the hallway of our house, or helping me find a team like NDSU dance team. I am forever thankful for you and I knew that there was no better way to wrap up this dance journey than when we made eye contact on the finals stage as I finished my final performances. You had never failed to show up for me. You are my rock, my biggest role model, and I love u. by @mason_weidman
