Dani, your MAWOCN Communications Manager here! If you know me, you know I’m usually the one behind the graphics, captions, newsletters, and social media posts. 😊 This time, I decided to do the voiceover. 😬 As someone who started at MAWOCN as a Program Associate and now serves as Communications Manager, I’ve had the opportunity to witness this organization’s growth, impact, partnerships, and community firsthand. In this video, I’m sharing a little about MAWOCN, why community matters, why joy is part of the work, and why I’m excited about this year’s R.E.N.T. Party: Then. Now. Next. And yes... this is also my official invitation. 💜 Whether you’re coming for the music, the nostalgia, the community, the cause, or all of the above, we’d love to see you there. 🎉 R.E.N.T. Party: Then. Now. Next. 📅 June 26, 2026 📍 Garage B | Brighton, MA 🎟 Tickets: rentpartymawocn/eventbrite.com Bring a friend. Tell somebody. Come celebrate with us. #WalkWithMAWOCN #RENTPartyMAWOCN #CommunityCare #ThenNowNext by @masswocn

Mother Nature has officially received the communications plan. 💁🏽‍♀️☔️ Friday. Rain or shine. Bring an umbrella. Bring the vibes. Bring the sunshine. Because YOU are the sunshine. ☀️ See you Friday. 📼💿 #RentParty #MAWOCN #LiftingAsWeClimb #90sEnergy #BostonEvents by @masswocn
🎶Hit me baby … one more time!🎶 If you automatically finished that sentence, Friday night might be for you. 😂 We’re taking it back to the 90s. The WHOLE 90s. Britney. Mariah. TLC. Janet. Aaliyah. Biggie. Tupac. Brandy & Monica. OG Destiny’s Child. Spice Girls. Boy bands. Hip-hop. R&B. Neo-soul. Pop. Dance. And somewhere, somebody is still trying to decide whether the boy is mine. 😂 But here’s WHY we’re doing it: R.E.N.T. Party: Then. Now. Next. is MAWOCN’s 4th Annual Impact Celebration & Fundraiser, inspired by the spirit of the historic rent parties of the Harlem Renaissance, where music, joy, creativity and community came together with purpose. MAWOCN strengthens and supports the advocates, leaders and organizations doing sexual assault and domestic violence work across Massachusetts. So Friday, we celebrate the people, the relationships and the work. 🎤 EMCEE Kisha The Entertainer 🎧 DJ Cali Waves 🍽️ Café Juice Up • D’Benny’s • Santia’s Bakery • P&R • Gourmet Kreyol 🍸 Bougie Bartenders 📅 THIS FRIDAY • SEPTEMBER 25 ⏰ 7–11 PM 📍 Garage B • Brighton 🎟️ $75 on eventbrite Come dressed in your favorite 90s energy or come exactly as you are. Because whether your 90s were “…Baby One More Time,” “The Boy Is Mine,” or “Mo Money Mo Problems”… there’s room for your 90s at this party. 💿 Then. Now. Next. 90s energy. Big impact. #MAWOCN #LiftingAsWeClimb #90sParty #BostonEvents ThenNowNext by @masswocn
