A frantic Goodwood Members’ Meeting! Racing an E-Type with @mat7w, hosting 360 guests of LGT Wealth Management and providing paddock tours as well as interviewing the sons of James Hunt and Barry Sheene alongside Steve Parrish for the 50th anniversary celebrations of their World Championship victories 😎 by @mat7w
Only a few more hours left before we have to load up the motorhome and trailers to head down to Goodwood for the 83rd Members Meeting. I am racing my Etype in the Protheroe Cup on Saturday evening. A full grid of pre 1963 E’s with some extremely hot shot drivers. Then racing the Bugatti Type 51 on Sunday morning in the Varzi Trophy with a grid full of Bugs and a couple of Alfa Romeo Grand Prix cars. . My Jag has been bumperless since the late 60s when it was turned into a mod sports car and stayed that way when it was restored back to the narrow body spec in the 2000 when it returned from a few years campaigning in Switzerland. It seems a shame, but I need to now fit bumpers for the current Pre ‘63 and Goodwood regulations. I better get drilling holes by @mat7w

Just got back from our last race of the season, and it was a good one! Qualified 4th in class behind a gaggle of Healeys in the @gtandsportscarcup at the Algarve Classic Festival. Come race day the sun was shining and although we were the only car in our class that had to do a fuel stop during the 2 hour race, @nigel_greensall and I managed to finish P1. Was a lot of fun, and Portimão @autodromodoalgarve is now my favourite circuit! (Sorry @goodwoodmotorcircuit) The views from the driver’s seat are just stunning. . . . #lastrace #algarveclassicfestival #jaguaretype #pre63gt #pre63 #pre66 #historicracing #motorsport #nigelgreensall #jetstreammotorsport @bet7yw #xke #jaguarxke #etypecoupe #7 #portimao #portugal by @mat7w
Yesterday was a fun day out at Silverstone for the annual Bentley Drivers Club race day. I entered the YR22 (now that she’s back for a short while from her 60k mile trip to South Africa and back) and managed to qualify P2 which I was extremely amazed by. The day before I was blowing sand out of the brake drums. The brakes were near enough non existent, but I managed to hustle her around for 40 minutes and ended up finishing 2nd behind @clive.morley in GSU. . . . @bentleydriversclub @silverstonecircuit @bet7yw by @mat7w
All set up at @goodwoodmotorcircuit for the 81st Members Meeting. A perfect Friday. Sorted scrutineering and driver sign on, George sat in the Morley Corvette, he then had some tuition from Nigel, I found the smallest race wheel in the world, and George delivered the 100% safe goods to the pits in his buggy. 🔥 . . . #racinglife #81mm #goodwoodmembersmeeting @goodwoodrrc #bugatti #bugattitype51 #goodwoodmotorcircuit #grandprix #canam #v8 #prewargrandprix @jetstream_motorsport @stuartmorleyracing @nigel_greensall @bet7yw @mrjohnboywalton by @mat7w
