As you may have gathered from the previous post, the success and growth of others is something I place a lot of value in, seeing those people who I have the chance to interact with progress both professionally and in life is hugely rewarding. I often tell a story of how one the first questions I would ask after hiring someone at FCP was “ How do I get rid of you?” And its not strictly true but the point is. At that time there was no way to progress really in the business, it being a single cafe that I owned, so moving on meant leaving, hence the question as way to find out what I could do to equip them for that moment. Always Be Cupping is a natural extension of this, a Coffee Advisory service not just for Qc or Business advice, but for Mentoring too. Its true these conversations are often hard, but I’m here for them, link in bio. by @mat_north
One of the joys of life is seeing your friends and people who worked for you succeed, @laurencelawes is both and the new @interludecoffee is a triumph. Its rare that somewhere feels timeless and yet rooted in its time yet this pulls it off effortlessly, its simultaneously brand new yet has always been here, a part of the landscape of the city and integral to its nature. Helps that the coffee is excellent too. Bravo! by @mat_north

So incredibly happy to have been part of helping @rama.poma bring his genuinely innovative and revolutionary work to the world stage, couldn’t have been happier with his performance on stage and how naturally he presented his work. 48 down to 6 is a tough cut, and it didn’t go out way this time, congrats to those who did and a hige well doen to all those who competed, you gave it everything and did amazingly. Oh.. and go @simon_gautherin! Rooting for you buddy by @mat_north

The best part of LCF or any trip to London is early morning walks through the city. by @mat_north
Everyone needs a hobby, and recently i’ve got into watch restoration. only Seiko from the 70s-80s and only quartz though, the designs are just something else. It feels good to bring well made objects back into commission instead on going to waste. Find me at retroseikoquartz on ebay and vinted if your ever looking for a new watch. by @mat_north
It’s not about the destination , its about the people you meet along the way. 7yrs of hosting customers for @rawmaterial.coffee has meant meeting and making a lot of friends. by @mat_north
7 years is entirely too little time to spend amongst such excellent people. Thank you everyone at @rawmaterial.coffee for making it a 7 years to remember.
