It’s hard to find the words to describe such an amazing weekend.
Not only was I the first @heatherabbottfoundation beneficiary to run the @bostonmarathon presented by @bankofamerica , but I had the pleasure of running with one of the best, @kellyflowers760. The odds of me finishing were very slim due to a stump infection this year but that wasn’t enough to stop me. Thanks to Kelly, we found a sweet spot and stayed dialed in.

At mile 26, I proposed to the love of my life then took a knee at the memorial on Boylston. Thanks again to everyone I met along the way, everyone who supported, and believed in me. Especially Coach Kelly, Ms. Heather, and her foundation! I couldn’t have done this alone! Next up, NYC Marathon November 1st.

My gratitude by @matt_burgos3

The day before the big race, I get a call.
“If the calculations are correct, I should be seeing you somewhere on the Queens Borough.” As I’m coming to the end of that beast of a bridge, I felt a hand on my shoulder. My man Kelly!! We had ourselves a day! I appreciate you Kelly and I’m very grateful to have you in my corner

Locked in and ready to hit 26.2 miles. Good luck to all my people running today. Again, a big thank you to the Meb Foundation and for the opportunity to run for something much bigger than myself. Let’s goo! #nyc #marathon #running #runner #amputee by @matt_burgos3

Feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to raise money for the MEB Foundation, meet @runmeb, and take on the 50th NYC Marathon alongside a great group of people. It’s really inspiring to be part of something bigger than myself. Being born in NY and living across the water my whole life makes this race hit home. Appreciate all the support for the Meb Foundation and myself. Let’s make it happen ✌🏽

Hi! I’m very excited I’ll be running the 2026 NYC Marathon on November 1st in support of the MEB Foundation!

I’m working toward a fundraising goal of $10,000 to support the Foundation’s mission of promoting youth health, education, and fitness.

I’m asking friends, family, and my community to be part of this journey. Every donation, big or small, will help me get closer to my goal.

Click the link below to donate if you can. If you’re unable to donate, sharing my campaign would mean a lot.

Thank you for supporting the MEB Foundation and myself! Every mile has a purpose. 🏃🦾 by @matt_burgos3

Click the link in my bio to donate if you can. A great cause, team, and a great city! Let’s continue to make an impact and make it happen by @matt_burgos3

It’s always about paying it forward and putting the youth first. Kids are absolutely everything and our impact matters. If you can, click the link in my bio to donate to the Meb Foundation in support of youth health, fitness, and education. I believe the Meb Foundation helps set a great foundation teaching kids respect, grit, dedication, and that hard work pays off. Id like to surpass my goal if possible. Like, comment, and share if you can as well. A bunch of people could make a huge difference by donating $1. Any amount is very appreciated. Thank you all 🙏🏽 by @matt_burgos3

April 20, 2026 she said yes on Boylston Street!
I truly wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Tabs. Even after the physical setbacks, she’s never doubted. You continue to make me better in more ways than one and I’m so blessed to have you by my side. Thank you to everyone involved for making this day even more memorable!
